Prepare yourself for epicness and then a discussion that takes place in the awe and greatness of The LEGO Movie!!! I can't wait--it looks fantastic. I'm really happy with their decision to keep it 'brickish'. The figures seem not to be bendy or 'animated'. I like that it apes the stop-motion style. And I love that the laser beams he's dodging are trans-red light saber blades. Actual Lego parts! The following comments are from a friend who is a Master Model Builder for LEGOLAND Studios... "Lots of the technical decisions are expert. But the lack of an original story line... bugs me, something fun and plausible and pertinent and just... better. Sure, the production value is very high. Better than previous LEGO features and amusement park movies. But the story and animation style are so poor. It is sad when fan films and other parody stuff is better than the IP owner. If only Stoopid Buddy Stoodios could do it all. Whichever CG house they got is good, but just little things lose the sale, like super reflections and glossiness... It releases within the next month for a large part of the world...
Was curious about it, bought three minifigs and one of the sets yesterday from LEGO.com.
Initially skeptical of it, but lots of things changed my mind about it.

I pre-ordered the 3DS version of the The LEGO Movie video game solely for the exclusive Emmet variant minifigure. I think this will be the first time since the ice-theme Alpha Team that I'll really try to collect the whole theme.  |

Joking aside, sadly they haven't worked for a while. Maybe I can do something, but I've never actually tried coding something from scratch before, so our mileage will definitely vary. One workaround is like [ color=transparent] tags, but...

Fantastic movie, saw it in theaters and was quite pleased with the plot, animation, and jokes made for both children and their parents who bring them, and then older youth fans of Lego such as myself. I don't plan to buy any of the sets associated with the movie, as the SW lineup for the summer looks fantastic and my wallet is already quite small.
