Save Dexter
Please Help Dexter Get Life-Saving Surgery

My name is Jamie, and this is a short story about my dog, Dexter. He’s a longhaired miniature dachshund who is consistently rated Most Unusually Sweet Dachshund by everyone he meets, and in late February 2015, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.  http://savedexter.com/

MsRR's note:
Jamie is seriously one of the kindest and coolest people you could know. She's getting situation after situation heaped up on her and she is getting SO CLOSE to being able to cover the surgery for her little dude. Please please please toss her a couple of bucks, even $1 can help get her to the total! So please take a few minutes to read Dexter's story and help out if you have the means. Thank you! And God Bless.

From Jamie, Dexter's human

On (one of) the days where I see a lot of Facebook memories about fund raising for Dexter, I just want to say thank you, again, to everyone who helped me out 2 years ago during this time. He's doing pretty well. He will never be totally normal, though. (If you don't know what this is about, it's fine! Just a traumatic injury to my dog a little over 2 years ago.) He's so happy, though. He absolutely adores Jim's kids, and Jim of course, and he is so happy we live together now. He still isn't totally used to having a yard, though - he'll hang out with us all night on the deck and never go into the grass to use the bathroom if you don't tell him to! He plays, he loves to play fetch or (gentle, dachshund games of) tug of war, and he's really never had such a good life until this last year. So, again, thank you. I had written out some more details about how his daily life is post-surgery but suffice to say he's very happy and that's what really matters.
