While it is possible to forget history, it is never possible to stop reacting to it. History's basically multiple chain reactions that eventually collide together and cause an even bigger chain reaction. See: Events preceding and succeeding the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, the first and second world wars, and how much the world changed in those forty years, and how their effects are still being felt today.

So I was reading a book, when I had the urge for a pizza.. son is already asleep, I am a wreck from heavy gardening, and I am too cheap to pay for delivery when the pick up guy is right downstairs.
"I know" I thought, I'll make "English muffin pizzas" that will minimally satisfy the urge. I turned on the oven in anticipation. (425)
I keep home made sauce frozen in sandwich bags for just such occasions.. Got the sauce out, and out of the bag into a bowl to thaw in the microwave.. grabbed some frozen roasted peppers as well. Head for the cheese drawer, not so much shredded mozzarella left.. hmmm..I have sliced provolone and white American (which is rich but bland and mild) so I will use all three.. I'm on a roll. everything's set to go, till I grab the English muffins I bought a few days ago.. hard as a ROCK. My grand had a couple and left the end of the bag open. By now I can almost taste those peppers... and then I remember.. I had pita left over from making gyros Friday night.. what the heck, I'll give it a try. Now the pita is just a tad smaller than a white paper plate, so I decided to eschew scrubbing the pizza pan and cook directly on the plate.
1. Sauce.
2. 1 slice of white American, crumbled in hand
3. 2 slices provolone crumbled in hand (could have used 1)and the mozzarella.
4. sprinkle with peppers that were pre warmed 1 minute in microwave
5. Bake 5 ish minutes till cheese is melted.

It was wonderful!! the edges of the pita got crispy, the rest held up for in hand eating.. actually far better than an English muffin pizza, and many frozen pizzas (I never buy them any more)
I may make these the next time we have family pizza night, since we all three like different toppings!!

I never thought of using pita bread for home made pizza before... maybe this weekend I'll try it.

Also Devil May Cry is being teased to be at E3, can't wait to hopefully see it on Monday!

Skyrim's getting a special remastered edition on PS4, XB1, and PC.

Not much point on the PC but I do suppose that means on PC it will no longer be constrained by being 32bit.

...Turns out the remastered edition is free on PC if you already own the base game and all of its DLC! Which I do. Might get me playing Skyrim again come October 28th.

One day I want to DM a Star Wars RPG.
I have a plot outline, but...I kinda suck at the whole "coming up with stats and handling mechanics" thing. I guess that's why I prefer the text-based variety of RPGs.
And yeah, looking forward to the updated Skyrim. 64-bits and DX11 (I think), and they say mods will still work.

E3 was suprisingly... Ok, a bit better than I expected.

-Overquake/Quakewatch, I mean Quake Champions sounds like a bad idea, although I'll wait until Quakecon to see if you can turn off Heroes and have standard arena gameplay back
-Dead Rising 4 and Recore look great
-Phantom Dust is getting ported to Windows 10 and Xbone, sad that the reboot is still on hold
-No Devil May Cry 5  Cry
-Resident Evil is going back to survival horror, although first person gameplay is apparently forced and no thrid person gameplay will be available
-Final Fantasy XV VR gameplay with laser guns was hilarious; 'so bad it's good'
-I got God Hand vibes from Absolver's trailer, just the combat, the game probably won't be as goofy as it. Gonna have to see the RPG elements in it though
-Zelda is running at like 20fps
-No idea what the two mystery Nintendo games will be
-I also just remembered Kojima's new game

Basically I just want ReCore.

Zelda seemed to be 30+ to me... Other than the stream hiccups, which were more likely due to 30000+ people watching the stream at the same time. Things seemed to run fluidly when the video wasn't skipping.

Considering that the Skyrim: Special Edition will rejuvenate a bit of interest and modding, on the PC version I recommend people use Mod Organiser to install their mods. Mod Organiser is, by far, the best mod manager there is right now IMO. It allows you to leave the installation of folder of Skyrim nearly untouched.

Sooner or later someone's going to ask me what I think of the EU and what we in the UK should do... I'd really rather stay in it. Places like Wales and the Northern Cities in the UK get a lot more than they put in - and to vote to leave but want Scotland to stay? Hypocritical. Scotland's independence will get a second wind if the UK leaves, I'd really rather we didn't and that they didn't. Not to mention the economic consequences of leaving, which will be rather huge for us.

And if you're a cynic and think we'd be puppets of Europe or America, well... I'd rather be an European puppet than an American puppet.

We're a United Kingdom. I'd rather it stay that way... and I'd rather not vote for lesser unity - I want greater unity. United. Voting against being united with something... take a long, fresh look at our country. It worked here. It can work on a greater scale. And inevitable, that's the direction we should be going. Nomadic tribes into villages, villages into towns, towns into cities, cities into city-states, city-states into nations, nations into multinations... multinations into planets, planets into solar empires, solar empires into galactic empires, galactic empire into universal empires.
