If you have Windows 10 Pro or a higher/equivalent version - and thank goodness I do - you can use gpedit.msc to edit the 'policies' of your computer, like disabling Real-Time Protection of Windows 10 which can eat up CPU usage on some computers. You can do other things, too, giving you slightly more control than Microsoft wants. Slightly.

I'm not sure if the Home versions of Windows 10 have gpedit.msc, but for those of you that have it, I recommend seeing if you can't find it/enable it.

Just tried to use the Creation Kit and I have to say, it's terrible. Crash-prone. Buggier than the things it makes. Lots of questions answered.

You'll have to live with one of them for at least four years, barring any special events.

My condolences to Americans of hispanic descent. And every other American in the USA. How the next few months will go down, and how people will react to that, will not be pretty.

We once built a wall. We knocked it down anyway. You can do it too.

Putting lines - artificial lines - between humans has never worked out well. We're already looking at the colonisation of Mars, and countries will look very petty then.

We're all human. No matter our background. "But immigrants are stealing my job!" No. Nothing entitles you to a job you didn't earn. Do you think the fact you were born in your country entitles you to a job? Well, it doesn't. Being born into a country is something we don't choose, and it's not something that makes you more qualified for a job than people who originated in a different country. What skills does being born in a country give you? Zero. Zero skills. It's not something to brag about, or be proud of. There's a difference between being proud of your country and being proud of yourself because you were born in a country.

And as a non-American - what the heck was he going on about with 'make america great again'? America is already one of the most influential countries in the entire world and has been for a few decades. Because some non-americans starting coming in, particularly non-white americans? That's not something to want to prevent, that's something to be proud of: that people actually want to come to your country.

You need a better system. One that doesn't favour two parties over all others, because it doesn't work well if a lot of you disliked both. Doesn't help when one of those candidates is (apparently) trying to rig it in their favour.

...And there's no guarantee it won't be eight years, instead of four.

YOU KNOW WHAT? All this doom and gloominess isn't what needs to be said. What needs to be said if, if you don't have hope now, how will you ever have hope in the future? Don't just accept these things, hope they get better! Make things get better. A person people aren't fond of won an election, so what? He's still flesh and bone at the end of the day, and he'll only be in there for four years. Four years is enough to damage, yes, but things can always be repaired. Time, as far was we know, is infinite, and as long as one is alive, you can do something. YOU can do something. Hope is the flame that lights the darkness, and like flame, once it gets going, it can be very hard to stop. It's not the end of the world - not yet! Don't resign yourselves to defeat and hopelessness. If you do that, nothing you want will ever happen and everything you fear will come true. Be hopeful.

I agree that hope is what's needed.

And there is hope, in a way, in that a lot of the republicans don't seem to like Trump.

But at the same time, this is also a very uncertain time, and a lot of people -can't- do anything for whatever reason. And adding to that, the progress that has been made in even the past year or so could easily be torn right back down; and fixing that would be easier.

I'm not going to point fingers at anyone at this point, there's been enough of that. Now, I'm just going to mention how this sort of outcome(which was eerily similar to what happened with brexit), is going to harm a lot of people in ways that a lot of people don't seem to care about.

-LGBT+ stuff is going to take a large hit, because the place is filled with Republicans who probably can't wait to tear down the stuff that Obama did well.
-In particular, things like gay marriage or any trans protections will likely go down the drain depending on who is appointed to the Supreme Court, and things really seem to be pointing in that direction.
-Environmental stuff, from what I was reading earlier, is likely to be altered, but in who knows what way; likely -not- in a way that'll help it.
-Economy stuff likely will be affected, even between countries that are right next to the other(and, might I add, one literally connecting between the US and Alaska), if anything touches trade treaties or so.
-If health care is touched, that could leave some people high and dry, or just... drive rates up since it'd be right back to the insurance people again. Add in the fact that this would -also- tie into harming trans people, since they'd then be once again more likely to be kicked in the backside rather than be helped out.

There's a whole lot more, but... honestly, I don't want all this to be a case of fear, or anything like that. But I want people to at least try to stand up for this. It'll be a long four years(... assuming that is all it is...), and it'll be very, very scary at times likely. And a lot of people were failed by electing a racist, sexist, bigoted ferret-wearing president... but it can be survived. I just hope there's things left in what matters at the end of it. I might be Canadian, but with all of my friends who would be affected to, I can't just stay quiet and watch the fireworks; not when if I was there, I'd be in this mess in the thick of it.

Just means you need to fight harder.

But particularly, the media and its owners can go burn in a fire. Over here, nearly every newspaper is owned by the same person and they all pushed the same 'immigrants are coming to steal your jobs and kill your babies' narrative. Truthful? No. Sensational? Yes. Don't know how the media affected the US election, but it definitely did influence us. If I had the resources and the capability, I'd probably end up moving to Scotland because everyone seems to have conveniently forgotten that leaving the EU also 99% guarantees their independence. Let alone whatever will happen to Northern Ireland and Ireland, ooh that's going to be a headache for everyone.

Most of all... there needs to be a large international movement. How would one even go about that? I don't know. Not an expert, but I wouldn't be surprised to see another financial crash like in 2008.

The world needs more sympathy and empathy right now.
