I still think I should be kept in the loop in the design dept. here and the decision making process.

Technically, I succeeded where you failed, why would you not want me in the loop?

If you want to take over fine, no problem, I just think this contest will do better with me as a helper, it is afterall, my purpose...

I had proposed the idea before this was made, IIRC.

I added some ideas and all I want is to be a part of it. The idea, wether yours or mine is redundent. The topic we are discussing I created, and now the contest has been approved and I don't get to know what it will be about, how un-cool is that?

You're not part of the staff. You can suggest ideas for future themes, but the current theme has already been decided. Now we should probably exit the building stage left.

And as I say, the theme will be different each contest, and as such, there will be other stuff, like writing contests, or art contests as well.

Wow, perhaps you could explain how this became a staff legislating contest, other then the fact that someone moved my original post

Maybe because the idea already existed, and I fully planned on reviving it once I found a good idea? And if you didn't notice, there was a hint to the theme in my last post... In fact, not just a hint, I went and full out gave it to you.

That's not the point I'm trying to make buddy, even though your intentions may have been to revive your original idea, I came up with something similar and promoted it. Being slipped little hints is no way to treat someone who has a purpose to creat an ultimate contest, post the idea, get attention, creat a poll, have patience long enough to see that this could fly higher then anything we've ever done...Only to find out that I've just been taken out of the loop because I'm not a prescious staff member.
  I'm just a Lego modeller, a half descent poet, a good story writer (this one included  ), a starter of some fine topics, a devout member of MLNO and one heck of a Dancer.

  Staff or no, I belong here and so do you, why can't we make this ours, as in...

This will be an official forum wide contest, why can't we all have a say, this topic has shown how we can all come together, now you want to make it a goverment controlled thing.

The ideas in this topic aren't just yours, there everyones, running away with it and making it "staff only gets to decide" is communism and nothing less.

My idea 'didn't fly in the first place' because I, having a momentary lapse of judgment, decided to keep waiting for more entries. because of that, loss of attention to the contest occurred, and it died. And maybe it's staff only because it involves rep, which only staff members get to hand out. And taken out of the loop? If that was the case, no-one would even know the idea was approved, that the contest was coming very soon, or even get hints to what the theme was.

Try to remember one of you recent posts here, the rep issue will be decided when you've had a chance to mull it over with the other staff, which hasn't happened yet has it?

No, but with the limiter, I don't really think that'll be a problem.

It is only fair for all members to learn the topic at the same time. legodac could be a judge for certain, but determining rep and how much of it is given out has to be a staff only decision.
And the more you fight about it, the less anyone will want to enter.
