Yeah, it's definitely classical. Well, not necessarily classical, it could be from the Baroque, Renaissance, Romantic or Modern times of classical music... (ie, the genre is classical, the period may not be. ) |

If you can write the notes you have, you can likely find the song here.. http://www.leeds.ac.uk/music/Info/RRTuneBk/search/searchform.htmlThe site triggered no security alarms, and has no ads. Search for a sequence of notes
This understands "note names" as used in ABC - ie, "ABCDEFGabcdefg", optionally preceeded by "^" for sharp or "_" for flat and followed by , or ' for octaves. Everything else will be ignored.
The search is not dependent on key - it matches all tunes containing the given sequence of intervals. It pays no attention to note lengths, you can't use it to match a rhythmic pattern.
All these conditions are additive (boolean AND) - the tunes listed will be those for which all the conditions you have specified are true. |

Well, I tried your site, MsRR, and didn't manage to find it ( :-\ ) but, I had music today at school, and I played the tune to my teacher. She told me it was by Erik Satie (one reason why my mum and dad didn't know it, I haven't heard of him  ) and it was Gymnopodie No.1.
