Carrie paused slightly.
"I choose Luna, Leo, and Barry. However, there are more members to pick, if you haven't noticed..." Carrie said, pointing at the others.

OOC: =P

[Flipz]

"Mistress, there's something I should-"

"Not now."

"But I-"

"NOT NOW."

"But Mistress-"

"Fine, make it quick."

"Mistress, you know that before the Rebels captured it this was an Imperial fuel refining facility, right?"

"Congratulations.  You just spent ten seconds telling me something I already know."

"But Mistress, the missile you launched that missed-"

"Erin, what have I always told you?"  There is a distant explosion from the end of the hallway.  "I never miss."  Bailey silences E.R.I.N.'s transmission, puts on her chipper voice, and opens a channel to the rest of the squad.  "Ohmigosh, like, I think this place is gonna, like, explode!  Everybody run!"  Bailey starts to fly the StarStorm away from the Rebel base.

OOC: Not a trick.  Place is going boom.  It'd be a good idea to run.

OOC2: Oh, Blade, pick a hand, left or right.  Setting up something for my next post and for future development.

OOC3: I’ll get back to Justin in a minute.

OOC: How did she even get into the rebel base?

OOC: How did she even get into the rebel base?

OOC: Different rebel base.  Blade and I have been attacking it as the Imperials for the last page or so.  I'm setting something up for Bailey-her plan, her mission, etc.-so I have somewhere to go with her later on.

[The Truth]

OOC: Ah.

[Blade]

Owen raised an eyebrow, but sped out the opposite way. His opponent was down, so he didn't care that the base was going to blow up.

OOC: Right hand. =P

[The Truth]

(Kora): "So..."

[Flipz]

OOC: Curtis really appreciates your choice. >:-D
-==IC: Bailey==-
As the Imperials ran along a cliff, the residual fuel in the underground lines ignited, causing the pipes to explode under their feet.  Curtis in the Truth had the misfortune to be closest to the edge, and the mech fell from the edge.  Even that wouldn’t have been a problem, but the debris had struck his rockets, damaging them and causing them to malfunction.  He began to plunge into the abyss.

That was exactly what Bailey was waiting for.  Before anyone else could react, she sent the StarStorm into a dive, catching the Truth in midair.  The StarStorm’s own rockets weren’t enough to carry them both aloft, however, and they began to lose altitude.  Both mechs hit the ground hard, but both Bailey and Curtis were mostly unharmed.  She opened a channel to the rest of the squad.

“We’re OK.  Go on back to base; I’m like, pretty good with mechanics, I can like, fix it myself.”

Bailey cut all her outgoing transmissions, and focused on E.R.I.N., who was still on her screen.  “Execute Strategy Delta Theta 7,” she said.

“Are you sure, Bailey?  This is technically treason.”

“I made my choice when I let that guy overhear our transmissions.  The wheels have been set in motion, and now we just have to wait for my plan to fall into place.”

“You’re gonna die, hon.”

“Probably,” she said in a much softer tone than normal.  “But then again, that’s always been the case.  My fate was sealed seven years ago.  Now I just have to use that to my advantage.”  She smiled savagely, back to her normal self. “And then cheat death.  In case you haven’t noticed, I’m pretty good at that.”

Bailey got out of the StarStorm and climbed over to Curtis, who was just crawling out of the cockpit.  “Heck of a way to introduce yourself,” she said.  “The name’s Bailey.  And you are?”

OOC: And so it begins...
OOC2: Oh, and Truth, here's a list of the Rebel CTF teams:

"That it is." Curtis agreed, and then smiled.
"My name is Curtis Harmon." Curtis said, with a formal bow.
"What do you think the chances of fixing the mechs are?"

[Flipz]

"I'd say next to nil if we can't salvage some parts from other damaged mechs."  Bailey looks up toward the top of the cliff.  "And I don't think we can climb back up."

Bailey furrowed her brow in apparent thought.  "I heard something back at base about a mech that went missing around the time we offed General Vox.  Maybe we could recover it, bring it back here, and use the parts to fix our mechs?"

OOC: Ryan's mech, he left it in stealth mode outside the base, and it's not listed as destroyed in the profiles.  I'm just improving here, feel free to shoot this down if you don't like it, Truth.

OOC: Go ahead, I have too many members to reassign it to one of the rebels. And good job for noticing that. =)

Curtis nodded.
"Just don't tell Sera; that mech was her brother's mech."

(Kora): "I'll take Iris and..." *sighs* "Shiza."

[Flipz]

"Leaving us with Drake and Patch.  OK, let's go inside!"  Justin said, piloting his mech through the doorway.

-==IC: Bailey==-
"Ok, let's, like, go!"  Bailey was still much more chipper than her usual self, but she was toning it down so as not to alienate Curtis.  She needed him for her plans.  She led him along the canyon, saying, "Hopefully this canyon will open out, like, right by the base!"  Actually, she knew they were headed the right way because she had a map of the area on her handheld computer, but she wasn't about to tell Curtis that.  As she led the way into the growing darkness she waited for the next stage in her plan to come into play.

OOC: ...aaaaand waiting for a random event to happen to us while we're stuck without our mechs.     And for the start of Capture the Flag.

Carrie and the rest of her team nodded, as they also walked through the doorway, to a very large training centre.

-==IC: Curtis==-

Curtis nodded, slightly disturbed by the darkness, but if any Rebels tried to attack them now, they would get a very big surprise, as Curtis was in fact, able to fight, as he had a plasma gun hidden away in case it was needed.

OOC: If that doesn't fit your needs, he could always lose it quickly. =P

(Kora): "So, the rules?"

[Blade]

"Capture the flags by any means necessary, and take it to your side of the arena. Middle line indicates the sides. There are three flags, and the round ends after all three are retrieved. The game ends after a team wins four rounds." Carrie stated, and then paused.
"The most convenient way to take someone out for the moment is simply by tagging them, but weapons are allowed."

[The Truth]

(Kora): "Alright. Let's pl-Shiza, you're supposed to capture their flag."

(Shiza): "But that would be stealing."

[Blade]
