Midori awoke in her quarters. She had been having that dream again...she shook her head. I can't keep dwelling on things like that if I want to be in Starfleet. She looked at the chronometer. 0543. Seven minutes early. She sighed. No use going back to sleep now. She threw on her clothes and hurried to the Academy shuttlebay.
When she got there, she saw a group of other cadets already there. She spotted othe Humans, an Andorian or two, a couple species she couldn't place--heck, there was even a Romulan, judging by the haircut. I bet the people living here hundreds of years ago would be surprised to find us here. She silently hoped there would be no time travel on this flight; it had certainly happened enough in Starfleet's history. She stepped onto one of the shuttles that would be transferring the cadets to the U.S.S. Nuparu for their training and found a seat. She looked around to see if any of her fellow cadets were going to join her--after all, they were scheduled to lift off at 0630, and that was in just a few minutes...
