Rise of Heroes: RPG

 Weeks later...

 Horace, the fool that he was, had done as Vanon had said; the unresting spirits of the brotherhood had gone back to their sleep. There was only one thing left to do. "Kelsier." Vanon's voice was hardened with a frosty demeanor. Near the edge of an artic glacier, his misted breath only added to the chilling effect. After all this time, it was still hard to believe that Kelsier was the one abandon the Kingdom. There was only one repayment for what he had done.
 Kelsier turned to face Vanon, his hair windswept, and a light dusting of snow lingering on parts of his cloak. "Brother." He replied, smiling. But he drew his sword all the same.
 Vanon laughed. "Brothers by bonds Kelsier, not by love for one another. You have no emotional shield to fight with."
 Kelsier nodded, unclipped his cload, and threw it aside. "Then..." He said quietly, adjusting to a fighting stance. "We both know what must be done."
 Vanon drew his sword, and their blades clashed.

[Blade]

OOC: I've still got no clue who's on what side. xD

OOC: Vanon's good, and Kelsier is bad. For the most part anyway. The Brotherhood's opinion of good can be kinda tough; they're sort of the justice department of heroes, 'xcept they don't have court dates. =P

 By the way, I think we can still continue as just the two of us if you want. We'd probly have to timeskip, but it'd work.

[Blade]

OOC: Timeskips would work for me. =P

OOC: Kay. I'll get working on it, may be a week in coming though; I have some tests to study for this week. =P

[Blade]

OOC: I see. =P Okay then, though.

OOC: TIMESKIP!!! (five years)

 Stutlus hurled the first of his half lengthed blades at a wooden post, embedding it halfway down it's length. "This is ridiculous." He said to Trey, knuckles tightening. "Why won't they raise us? WE're more competent than the rest of the Strikers.... Why not?"

[Blade]

-==IC: Trey==-

Trey slashed a target in half, and then shrugged.
"Who knows why they do what they do..." Trey said with a frown.

[Mahri828]

-==IC: Stutlus==-

 Stutlus wrenched his blade free of the post. "You know, there is one way to force them to raise you... I read about it in the library, though I don't think it's actually been used for a few centuries."

[Blade]

-==IC: Trey==-

Trey looked at Stutlus, confused.
"A way to force them to raise you?" Trey asked, not sure what he meant.

-==IC: Stutlus==-

 Stutlus nodded. "I didn't mention because I didn't want to resort to it... but now that we've been refused for certain...." Stutlus looked up. "You can challenge your faction leader; being victorious would lead you to being raised, and more."

OOC: Just fyi, both Trey and Stutlus have been refused to become full Strikers several times, for no reason other than the fact that they're younger than they should be in coordination with their prowess. =P

Trey looked at Stutlus, startled.
"What do you mean by that? Challenge our faction's leader...?" Trey asked; as he didn't think that getting raised to be a full Striker was worth that. And he had a bad feeling he knew of the 'more' that Stutlus was talking about.

 "I mean you can fight her one on one, and demand yourself raised..." Stutlus took a deep breath. "What's your opinion on the Brotherhood?"

[Blade]

-==IC: Trey==-

Trey shrugged.
"I've heard they're an elite group. Definitely sounds interesting, but I didn't really join for fame or so." Trey said, and chuckled.
"I'm willing to wait as long as I need to before they decide to make me a full faction member." Trey said with another slight shrug.

-==IC: Stutlus==-

 Stutlus twirled his knife and sheathed it on his right side. "You may be, but I'm not." He put on a determined face. "The Brotherhood hasn't been seen for a century, though there are some who pretend that they're part of them so that no one really knows that..." Maybe I do spend to much time reading.... Stutlus nodded, halfway to himself. "I'm becoming one of them."

[Blade]

-==IC: Trey==-

Trey frowned slightly.
"That's true... But in a way, it's easy to get caught up in all that fame and power. Just don't do something you might regret." Trey said with a chuckle, and scratched his head.
"I think I've spent too much time mingling with the others, I feel I'm beginning to become a philosopher." Trey said, as he chuckled again.

-==IC: Stutlus==-

 "I don't want the fame." Stutlus said quickly. "I want the fight. The Brotherhood was legendary for it's prowess in battle, for defending the Heroes. I want to be part of that."

[Blade]

-==IC: Trey==-

"I see..." Trey said with a nod.
"Well, to be honest, I want to protect people as well."

-==IC: Stutlus==-

 Stutlus let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. If Trey hadn't gone through with this alongside him, relations may have gotten akward and difficult. "We have two choices." He started. "One of us fights and wins, then demand you stay in the same status as me. That's the good way."

OOC: Kudoos if you can guess the bad way. =P

Trey nodded.
"I'm guessing the bad way involves forcing people to do things a different way, and that one person would get more than they bargained for..."

OOC: Aka, force the leader out of her position.

Did I ever mention that all but one of the faction names here will be used, and probably all of them will be used by the time certain things happen in the DoaH verse? =P
