Ok, the winners for the NXTLOG Explorer Bot Challenge have been released. I unfortunately didn't get around to entering this contest, even though I planned and told everyone I was going to.
I had full intention of entering... anyway,
winners! Make sure to check them out... there are some pretty cool ones. I was especially impressed by NatoNX's Amphibious Explorerbot.
I'm actually sort of surprised that they haven't released another contest yet. They usually release it around the first day of the first month after the previous contest ends. That was a month ago... I'm thinking they will now wait until Monday to release it (they don't seem to approve NXTLOG comments or creations during the weekend, nor do they post anything themselves). If they
don't release it this week, I'm thinking they'll wait until the first of November and have a holiday themed contest. If they release it on Monday, on the other hand, they will need to do a non-holiday related contest because Halloween is too soon (contests need two months), and Christmas will be too far away. A hard choice for the Mindstorms team... unless they aren't planning on doing anything holiday related this year.
No matter what, I have high hopes of entering. I have an interesting habit of entering every other contest (not on purpose)...
