He and Metus had SHOULDER ARMOUR (Raanu even had his 'fire sword'), unlike all the others. look closely. Also, anyone notice berix and Tarduk (cameo appearance for tarduk, since he doesn't have a major role) when Raanu stands up?

Ackar vs. Strakk, IMO, wasn't that good of a fight. Now come on, a hurling axe cannot make you go flying in the air and then land on a jagged rock, the same goes for a push the body with a shield.
(and raanu's voice is so fail.)
Remember that this is Bionicle, and the Laws of Physics don't always apply. Besides, prove to me that they aren't really strong and wield heavily weighted weapons?

...Stats, I can prove (look at the Bios section), but heavy weapons, I can't.

...of course, this is an entirely different planet, so maybe there could be less gravity there, too.

two things you can do here:

1) wrack your brains over the physics of a universe of plastic toys

or

2) just enjoy the story!

i prefer #2 myself.

now don't you find the thing with their shields a bit weird? i wish their sets came like that. Cheesy

And then:

ACKAR: Concede. You leave with your Honor intact, and I with your shield.
STRAKK: *picks up axe and hurls it* O RLY?
ACKAR: OHEZ NOEZ *bang* *is unconscious*
MATA NUI: Stop right there, Skakdi!
*Thornax comes out of... Click? 0_o*
STRAKK: WHAT THE THORN-*BOOM*
MATA NUI: Stop. You leave, dishonored. I leave saving someone's life.
STRAKK: *touches ignika and transforms into a thornax launcher*
MATA NUI: That was weird.
ACKAR: You saved my life! Let me touch your mask!
*Ackar turns into a sword*
MATA NUI: Great, I saved somebody's life only for them to turn into a sword.
*Ignika touches ground*
*Ground becomes alive and eats Mata Nui, Thornax Launcher and Sword*

=P
This wion't happen though, but I'd like to see this:

GRESH: mata nui tells me I've got awesome 'toa' powers, whatever those are. Why won't you let me test them out?
MATA NUI: Because ypu could cause an explosion.
GRESH: *uses powers*
*BOOM*
VASTUS: NOT AGAIN!

=P
But of course, it won't. I also came across a pic of Vastus being caught in an explosion, it was a TLR image! (we should have an offical TLR discussion...)

I'm back from my vacation(which felt like forever). I'm hoping to get Skopio either tommorrow or Thursday. I won't be getting MNT because of the huge price tag...

Opinions on vehicles and other sets after seeing reviews:
From all the reviews I've seen, most consider Thornatus a very good set (Some call it better than Skopio, but from other reviews Skopio seems to be better.). It's also the longest vehicle I've seen, and the top of the cockpit is the only part similar to jetrax.
Also, in my country baranus and TMN are the same price, but if I had to choose I;d pick TMN. Way better than the jumbled thing that is the Baranus.

Kaxium is full of holes when none of the pilots are in, Cendox is liked. A lot. Probably because it is so much more worth it than Vultraz ever was. As for Baranus, I think it is the worst set this year.

First thoughts on GLs:
Ackar: Despite his lacklusterness and Berix Helmet, he makes up for it in his sheer amount of recolors.
Kiina: Terrible.
Vastus: Scythe and Helmet, green, I always get the green sets, and the mahri tube is awesome.
Mata Nui: Mata Nui.
Gelu: Way too lackluster and recolors lacking, But awesome weapon and helmet.
Stronius: He is one awesome guy. Only second to mata Nui.
Gelu: He looks awesome. But he's lackluster.

Now I think:
Ackar; I still think the same.
kiina: She's grown on me a lot. She pulls off what she's supposed to do well.
Vastus: His body may be backwards, but I like that. But it's hard to pose his arms. Very hard.
Gelu: Same as before.
Stronius: Could do with a bit of upper arm armor and a little modification..

Welcome back RP. And @KZ- I kinda agree. But I think Stronius beats MN overall. I don't have MN, but i do hae Stronius, and i see many flaws in MN.

I don't. I never see porportions as wrong or right, mainly because this IS a different universe, proportions shouldn't be humanesque.

I agree with KZ on porportions, except for certain sets(read: Kiina) which are completely rediculous. If the arms are just a bit too long(like most inika clones) I don't care that much, but with sets like Kiina, where the arms are past the knees, it looks bad.

As for the vehicles(I'm sure I've posted stuff like this, but its fun to critique the sets):

Cendox: Great value for price, and the ability to turn is great. Back tread is really good looking, and having the Kiina Fin in yellow is a plus.

Kaxium: Well, I liked it more when I first saw it, but now it looks kinda bland, with no turning, and a mostly solid build.

Baranus: The vehicle is aweful, but the Spikit is nice(ish). Sahmad has a nice weapon, and orange is a somewhat cool colour. Overall, the set seems to be a jumble of pieces and looks like it was made to just be there as a 5th vehicle.

Thornatus: It has a function. Which is great. Tan is a great addition to colour schemes, and the silver Krika heads are great. This set looks like a really good deal, although the price is a bit iffy.

Skopio: My personal favourite. This set is massive, and the ability to trasform is really good. The repetitive build may deter a few people from buying the set, but I don't really care, as the awesomness of the set outways the overall build design. As for the pilot, it's pretty unique, and wears a backwards Spikit head for a helmet. This is definately a set worth getting if you have the money.

And for a list of best to worst:
Skopio
Thornatus/Cendox
Kaxium
Baranus

Pick up Thornatus if you've got the money, otherwise go for Cendox, which is a great set for the price.

My best to worst would go lkike this:
1. Thornatus/Cendox
2. Skopio
3. Kaxium
1000. Baranus

Thornatus: There's not a lot of repeptition in the build as far as I can see, unlike Skopio. It has a nice function, extremely poseable Thornatus Turret (perhaps that's what Ackar has in the Vehicles Commercial.) and a lot of space. The main con though, is the armored back, but flimsy front.

Cendox: Extremely well designed, better than other vehicles of its price (F&S, Ignika and Vultraz), yellow (old!) but he pilot is basically Vultraz.

Skopio: Lots of repetitive building as far as I can see (four of the SAME leg), but a very unique transforming function, and a turret. The pilot has some nice parts (keetorange metru legs at last!), especially the helmet, which I like. A lot.

Kaxium: Lots of holes without the pilots. It looks better with them in, and the split function is cool. Pilots are lackluster though, and exactly the same, but I'll just switch one of their eye colors and flip the helmet around.

Baranus: Jumbled mess. The only thing I can say that is good is the pilot. Would be a treasure pile of pieces, though. And the spikit has a horrible piraka torso, but covered in armour. (at least from what I can see)

Toa Mata Nui: After seeing reviews, my opinion has changed on him. A lot. I absolutely love the look of him, ven if his arms and legs are near-clones of Takanuva 08's. Unfortunately, only 4 gold pieces, and it's nice to see some mata yellow recolors.

Oh, yes, and I never care about proportions on animalistic sets, since they're creatures, and creatures have varying proportions. (I say the less normal the proportions are, the more animalistic it looks.

I agree with you on Thornatus and Cendox, although for Thornatus the function isn't very detailed. It's pretty simplistic IMO(kinda like Rockoh's Wing function). Cendox is probably the best buy for your moneys worth, and even if the pilot is Vultraz with different feet and head, you're not buying the set for him(well, hopefully not), so it doesn't really matter.

Skopio is repetitive, but the piece count and the new pieces are great(I really want to see how the connected technic things work(dunno what to call them, the square shaped things that have the connection points)). And Telluris, even with awkward arms, has a great colour scheme and one of the best helmets(tied with Spikit lol)

Yeah. Even if you're not going to get Spikit, you'll at least get a yellow spikit helmet with Telluris. Though I rwelly wish the Baranus' and Thornatus' Pilots helmets were reversable-they're just plain ugly to me.

I don't find their helmets too bad... and on a bad note, I called my TRU and they don't seem to have any of the new sets(although the store clerks are usually not too helpful, so I'll check it out myself later, along with Walmart and Zellers for Skopio...

Crotesius/Scodonius helmet is cool though, and it's reversable. The silver ones on Kaxium could be useful, as any coloured set could use them.

Kirbraz and Scodoinius have the same helmet-sided and their builds are clones of eachother. Though, I do not have any of the vehicles yet.

Cendox can turn, unlike the other vehicles. (I think this year's vehicles are better than last year's 'flying refrigeraters'.)

Though I do want to know what effect the force blasters on Thornatus and Skopio do.

Well, I liked how 08s vehicles had functions, but this years look better(for the most part. Axalara still owns Baranus and Kaxium, and is at least tied with Thornatus and Cendox).

And Force Blasters probably force blasts of some sort... i dunno.
