Movie Skopio gets way better parts than set Skopio. Telluris is basically fused with movie Skopio, giving him yellow armour to make up for the empty cockpit space, and it gets 8 more Idris blades(those are tied with other weapons for my fav weapon ever(the others being Strakk's Axe, Jaller Mahri's Sword, Hahli's Claw, Kopaka's Sword, and Tahu's Sword).

@Midnight: People liked the Makuta Mistika, but not the Toa Nuva Mistika, who were covered in Silver pieces. I bought all 3 because they looked cool(especially Tahu), but many people on BZP thought that they were some of the worst sets in Bio History...

@KZ: pretty cool that you're related to Chirox. Can you create Kraata?

btw, TRU CAD is selling Toa Mahri(Jaller and Hahli) for less than Agori on their site...  Tongue

No, I cannot. =p

Kids like silver. Which is why the Toa Mistika were silver.

Midnght: Meh, the only Mistika I didn't like and didn't get was Bitil, even though Gorast was a little short... But that was a little more accurate.

bitil's not so bad. He's got really long limbs and is very flexible becuase of them. the wings he has are kinda lame using the larege shield piece. but overall he's not so bad, got some pluses.

I still have Bitil as my least favourite mistika... the silver should have been yellow. Especially the wings.

I love Bitil. Best Makuta Mistika IMO, and 2nd best Mistika overall(Tahu being first, IMO). I have all six, and I have to say that Krika is one of the worst, if not the worst of them all. He looks really cool in the CGI pics, but as a set he isn't posable thanks to his limbs and he has the worst neck in the world(the whole wobbling thing, which affects his launcher too.

Gorast is nice, and I like the 6 Avtoran limbs in lime, but because of those limbs she is short, but at least her legs are posable. The wings are nice too.

@KZ: yes, the silver becoming yellow on Bitil would've been fantastic, but I still think Bitil was a great set. The mask also looked really nice(although it would've been better if it fit all heads).

I wish they would use the Makuta Torso again... this time in a different colour, and having a recolored Krika armour.

I'm surprised at how little the Inika torso was used in 08. Only 6 times

Lewa (both)
Pohatu (Rockoh)
Kopaka
Gorast
Onua

Piraka Torso:
Ignika
Antroz (Jetrax)
Tahu
Gali

Makuta Torso:
Antroz
Vamprah
Chirox
Mutran
Icarax
Krika

Matoran Torso Type 1:
Tanma
Solek
Mazeka
Radiak

Matoran Torso Type 2:
Gavla
Kirop
Vican
Photok
Vultraz

Kongu Torso:
Pohatu

That's about five different Torsos we had last year... why couldn't they do that this year? But with no Piraka torsos, because absolutely no Piraka Torsos  (Finally. This year end of Inika Torsos?) have been used this year.

Takanuva also used Inika Torso, and Bitil used Avtoran Torso Type 2.

Torsos that should be thrown away forever: Piraka and Kongu(Piraka looks aweful whichever way it's attached, and Kongu Torso is short and looks blocky on sets).
The inika torso is decent, and can connect in many ways, but it's so skinny. If they could add bulk to it while not leaving gaping sideways holes(Gresh, we're looking at you) it would be great.

The Avtoran torsos are simple and effective, although I prefer type 1 because the head isn't sinking into the body, and the arms are at a reasonable height.

The Makuta Torsos are epic win except for the top pin hole, which should have been a + hole and not a O hole...

And yes on the Krika armour recolours, but not to use it like MN or Onua, who make it look goofy. It's not big enough to be chest armour like that, and it fits better on Makuta Torsos IMO.

IMO, they don't make it look goofy at all. They make it look like what it's supposed to be: armour. Unlike the other two inika types.

Besides, I hardly think the Kongu torso is Blocky.

Gresh's holes can easily be fixed: just make the o rods 3-length o-rods (don't connect them into the armour).

Piraka: the proportions SUCK.  it looks best in a non-metalic color, with matching hips and neck piece.

kongu: never seen it, so no comment.

inika: personally my fav torso. and there's a really easy fix: remember those technic beams, just sticks of o-holes? there's a 2-hole one of those (yes, just 2-long) in a lot of sets. put that in. Tongue

ad i think makuta torsos look best like krika.

we don't have any piraka or makuta torsos this year because the glatorian neck can't really attach to them, without getting the deadly infectious disease known as Strakk-Neck-Syndrome.

Actually, it's Krika Neck Syndrome.

They could create a new piece for the makuta Torso. It's my second favourite torso. Even though some people say it has worse proportions, adding armour to the metru hip easily fixes that. Besides, it's not thin either. While the Inika and Makuta Torsos do have some bulk and no gears (those Metru and Mata were an annpyance), they should not be used as Spiriah Torsos.

Frankly, I would like to see more combiners nowadays. Just to see what the Lego Set Designers could create when only given, say, Mata Nui, Gresh, Kiina, and Ackar. =P

Hrmmmm

Sounds like a fun competition.

Trouble is I don't have Gresh or Ackar.

But perhaps it could be extended.

Say any Glatorian figure combination (Vehicles and special sets not allowed.) must be 4 figures combined.

Sets okay to use....
Atakus
Rannu
Tarduk
Berix
Metus
Zesk
Skrall
Malum
Gresh
Tarix
Strakk
Vorox
Stronius
Ackar
Vastus
Kiina
Gelu
Mata Nui

I myself only have
Atakus
Zesk
Skrall
Stronius
Vastus
Kiina
Mata Nui

From the above list. So that's what'd I'd have to work with.

@Paradox
Good clip. I have to say I think this movie is going to be superb. I love the extra detail they put into it as well all the spinning parts on their bodies like actual machinery. I never noticed that in the other three films. It's one of those little touches that's just way cool.

@New Movie Clip: That sucks. Berix and Kiina's voices aren't bad(but Kiina went Wahoo!, which is pretty annoying). I don't like the fact that they get toa powers, because then the entire skill part of Glatorian fights is out. I wish that they only had powers when Mata Nui had physical contact with them. But the clip itself wasn't bad.

How do you it's the glatorian and not the weapon? Besides, isn;t this the movie where elemental powers are actually used, unlike the other three where they were too afraid to use their elemental powers.

Okay, that their weapons get elemental powers, and they can use them.

And its not that I don't like people using powers, but I thought Bara Magna was a place where we could have hand to hand combat instead of blast of elements...
