The weapon is amazing! The overall MOC looks really good, even if parts are only slightly modified from existing sets. The bulkiness of the MOC is good too, but proportionally the set looks a bit ackward(the head looks big and the body looks small).
9.10 overall though. Good Job.

picked up Mata Nui today(I don't like him as much as Ackar and Stronius, but he has useful pieces, and I wanted the MoLi in BM form).
It's a good set, but the legs are short and the size of the weapon makes posing him wierd.
But the 4 Shield(?) pieces are cool, the MoLi is good to have, and the shin pieces and new arm pieces are cool.

Finally threw on a set of hands for my updated version of Toa Blade/Glatorian Blade, and took some pics. It'll be a little while before I actually upload them to a non-LEGO site, but I should have a pic up on the Bionicle Gallery in a little bit.

10.Ackar (He's pretty much entirely Inika Clone now that I think about it)
11.Tarix (After carefully examining him, I realized he's a basic Inika clone with some useless items)
12.Vastus (Ok, I've looked into him and the reviewer of him at BZP agree with me he stinks)

If I were you I'd have Malum and Gelu switched. Gelu is pretty much Inika clone in the body and upper limbs. Malum looks less like an Inika than he does and has a better colour scheme rather than silver thrown into shades of blue and white.


Vastus also needs to go above Tarix, at least his front is completely covered instead of the back which nobody complains about and has awesome snake armour and an awesome scythe. He's a kind of 'you hate him in image but love in person' set IMO.

But... wait, that's my opinion ,not yours.

It's not the modern pieces we like, it's the fact that this is the first set that's used a different torso design in years(No Inika Torso variant). But that's everyone's varying opinion. I do like A-car(=P) as well though.

/EDIT: Yeah, we've all seen them. But, while they're all 'matoran' sized, if you compare the Mata to the Av-Matoran and Agori, they're actually the same size, so Tahu at least makes sense. But, hopefully there'll be more sets, but I think there was a rumour going around that those Ben 10 sets are replacing the canisters for at least the winter wave, which is fail. >_>

Okay, my list after getting Ackar, Stronius, and MN:
1. Stronius (Pure Awesome)
2. Ackar (Colour scheme is amazing, flame sword is cool, and I don't have Berix, so I say Berix has a re-used mask)
3. Vastus (Still strong. I'm biased to green and snakes.)
4. Gelu (Inika Clone he may be, but an amazing mask and armour that flows with the weapon is cool)
5. Strakk (Non Inika Clone. Axe is cool and mask is epic evil)
6. Vorox (I don't have him, but he looks cool)
7. Mata Nui (Don't like the legs to arm size ratio, but the upper arms are amazing(new armour and new arm) and shin armour is win)
8. Skrall (Non Inika Clone. I've flipped his torso to allow the life counter to sit on his back)
9. Gresh (Bleh. He has a nice shield)
10. Tarix (Gold keeps this set alive. And Mata Blue hands and feet)
11. Malum (Don't have. Don't like to look at him though)
12. Kiina (43 pieces. Arms and legs are identical. Body is custom but ugly to look at.)

Now, will you people stop bashing Kiina? >_> She is in NO WAY an Inika Clone, which makes her better than most sets this year. Yes, there are few pieces, but she does it well.

Vastus...he has a staff in both hands, which makes it hard to move. And he has Hordika legs. Blech.

Gelu: His weapon is FAIL. I have nothing against his Inika Clone Build, but he's just...bad.

And Malum is low on my list because I own the Barraki whom his build is based on.
