Well, if you've recently visited BZP, they have new pics of 2009 summer sets. Well, the large ones anyway. They have pics for four sets, but while searching on Brickshelf (because the blog that hosted the pictures that BZP linked to wouldn't show for me) I found a fifth one.

They are mostly vehicle size that we had in 08, although one of them has like 840 pieces, making it one of the biggest Bio sets ever. $110 CAD... Some of them look like the set designers just reorganised pieces from Jetrax to form something new, but with recoloured pieces, but some of them are interesting.

Anywho, you should check it out, and if the link doesn't work for you, then search one of the ames that BZP posted on Brickshelf to see pics

There are no canister sets yet though...

Spoilers ahead containing summer set descriptions. Don't read on if you don't want to be spoiled.

Skopio XV-1: Skopio is amazing, and the legs can fold in and out. The rider looks cool too, and the use of Idris blades on the legs looks so cool. 849 pieces also makes this one of the biggest Bionicle sets to date, if not the biggest. And in red too!

Baranus: The Spikit looks wierd. The head pieces are nice(the ones on the set display, not on the box design), but the colours look odd, and it kinda looks like a remade Spinax... As for the Chariot part, the rider once again looks cool, and a black Kalmah tentacle is cool but not so much as a whip... The chains used to attach the Spikit and Chariot look wierd and a bit skinny too...

Kaxium: Motorcycle and sidecar... that does not seem technologically behind... but as you said, if they are pre disaster then it may make sence... Don't like that it has two Agori drivers though... but if it has mata blue it makes it better.

Thornatus: Jetrax with wheels instead of turbines... even a red pilot too... only interest in this is the tan pieces.



Cendox V1: Not on BZP, but found on Brickshelf. Small little thing, kinda reminds me of Vultraz set. Nothing really interesting about this one...

Skopio looks the best out of all of them, but at $110 CAD it is gonna cut into people's wallets. But I will probably buy this set and one or two of the canister sets in the summer and that will be it.
If I do get any others it will be either Kaxium or Baranus...

And it's dissapointing Glatorian Arena isn't gonna come out then.
But it will come later. When it comes out, it will be my top priority to play.(and my evil plan in the 'Count to a Million' topic.

I hope Glatorian Arena can compare to VNOG. That was the best game that Bionicle ever had online, and everygame since that has been terrible. No offence to the designers, but after VNOG, nothing could really compare to it, and it made everything else look bad.
The Mistika game was okay in that you could design your own stuff, but VNOG was the best

I love VNOG and consider it one of the best Bionicle games, but this looks even BETTER.

I hope its better, although this game looks different. This game looks kinda like the spinner challenge, with more added stuff. VNOG was an adventure type game and looks different.
GA has better character graphics from what I've seen, although a CGI graphic game would be sweet.
Anywho, we just need to wait now.
They siad at BZP that there may be a mid year update, but its not confirmed yet. And Toyfair is this week at the end. Can't wait for the game or toyfair

Actually, from the looks of things, I'd say this is a game similar to Soul Caliber, or Bleach: Dark Souls or so, a fighting game to say.

3D... Glatorian... GRESH... Talking to random Agori.... points... upgradeable stuff... sounds like a 3D VNOG, except with arena battles.
Definitely on my 'Possibly awesome' list.
