Anyway, the outer two parts of the UDD symbol are nebulae? OMG WANT WANT WANT!
Anyway, I the red one doesn't have a Berix helmet. Though it is similar, it has a more fiery design on the back.

The BLMBs are just so annoying.

Has anyone noticed that Skopio sort of resembles a Four-Legged Insect?
And that Vastus is MATA RED and ORANGE, Tahu Mata's original Color scheme.

*Cough* Vastus isn't Mata Red and Orange, he's Metru Green and Limegreen =P Now, Ackar on the other hand, is Tahu Nuva as he should've been LAST year =P Like, he'd've fit in more last year, not saying I disliked Tahu, he's a very good set that I happen to like very much =) ... I'll stop talking now.

I guess 2008's silver line of sets was to prepare us for original colours to be reintroduced. The fact that many sets use brighter colours is great. Ackar's weapon is pretty cool, but his head looks way too much like Berix', and may even be Berix' helmet thingy. That will look wierd. A really small head on a canister set.

I think we all agree that Skopio is a great set, and the fact that the functions are really big functions(it transforms!!!) makes it even better. But the build looks like it may be repetitive... which may be a downside. But the rider has new colour scheme right? That's good.

@Blade: Tahu needed more red on him. With more red he would've been great.

And Vastus has two eyes... i think someone said he had only one eye a few pages back, but after looking through pics it seems he's got a large mouth and two small eyes.

And I don't care if Blue canister has custom torso its still awful to look at...

Considering the fact that Vastus has a reader that involves him as the Main Character, I think he will be the summer set with the least summer story.

And I think we can all guess: Mata Nui will be the Summer Set Poster Image.

The new arm pieces will be one of the greatest pieces for MOCers. You could attach armour in a completely different way with those things. And the lower leg/ankle armour is a good idea too.

Thornatus has a huge wheel on the back. The thing is massive. Cendox looks really good to.


KZ: Having Vastus be a lead summer set in storyline would be like having a leader all over again, except this time having green stand out instead of red. Winter so far seems to focus on the colour green. Tarduk leads a starring role in his serial, Gresh is the poster image nearest the front, and the main character that is followed around, and Tuma, leader of the "bad guys" has his secondary colour as green... I'm kinda glad Vastus won't be an upfront character in summer. I hope its Ackar or the white one... after Mata Nui of course...

I was saying Vastus will have the least Storyline Significance out of the summer sets... although I probably didn't get your post's messages that well.
And I agree, the new leg pieces will be great for MOCers. Now if they could only do it for the Double Socket...

Sorry if it was confusing. I was agreeing ( i think) with your statement that green won't be a leading role, but backing it up with info as to why it won't (such as all the winter green sets having big roles)...

Ah.

It's pretty obvious from the Movie Info that Mata Nui is the leading role in the summer story, but who has the second major role?
Hopefully it will be Ackar or Gelu.
Probably not Stronius, since he's a Skrall, and probably a Skrall Commander at that.

Greg did say that Kiina is the Female set... and that the Female character plays a big role in the story... so you may be right, Blade.

Kiina being the Water set... that is cliche in BIONICLE. Why can't she be a Purple and Teal Set?
I noticed... the Skopio pilot has a Grey Avtoran Body but Glatorian-like Limbs.

Okay, so namewise, is this correct:

Kiina:blue
Gelu:white
Vastus:green
Stronius:black
Ackar:Red
Mata Nui:Yellow (eww :p )


Ackar has a terrible name IMO (i'm full of complaints about the sets lately...) It sounds so blunt and boring. Vastus and Stronius, now there are good names. Gelu is nice, and Kiina has Bionicle written across it.
I wonder when the vehicle rider names will be released, probably near summer. Some people speculate that the riders of Cendox and Kaxium are Agori from RotGB, but then we're left with Baranus(who may also be from RotGB), Thornatus and Skopio.

Ackar=Akbar=IT'S A TRAP!

And Mata Nui's colour is supposed to be gold in the story, but if you read the Set Designer's interview, it may shed light on why he's not Gold set-wise. Or, it may just be for Toyfair.
