"Vex..." Kenji repeated. "That's a nice name." He moved onto the next question, but with a bit reluctance. "I mean you no offence or disrespect, but I don't believe, based on your skin color and what appears to be wings, that you're human... So what kind of person are you?"

IC:
The cafeteria door exploded into millions of pieces, and smoke covered the room. Laser balsts started to rain upon the two in the large room.
A blast of Ki broke the window, and Rakoua jumped in.
Uh... I leave for two seconds and there is an attack here... Man, who are those guys? Rakoua said, and looked at the shattered door.

IC: She was pretty much frozen to the spot, she didn't like all of the chaos and the attacking and just wanted to go somewhere where she would be perfectly safe, or somewhere she could cry about it. She tried moving back from the destroyed door area, but only succeeded in falling out of her seat and hitting the floor.

IC:
Kenji jumped up, and quickly told Vex to stay under the table. "I'll take care of it," he told her. Due to the smoke, Kenji had to resort to x-ray vision to find the attackers, and reached for his katana. Which wasn't there. Neither was his cleaver blade. Great... I left those outside so I wouldn't scare Vex... I'll have to make do. With a basic thought, his energy blade flaired to life, and he set out into the smoke.

Zeo, who was around halfway across the building, heard the explosion and ran as fast as he could.

[Rakoua]

IC (Rakoua):
Suddenly, the termo vision thingie turned on. Strange.
Anyway, I could see quite clearly now... So I took the nearest weapon looking thing and threw it at the enemies, along with a few presents, aka Ki blasts.

IC:
5... 6... 7. There's 7 of them. Thankfully, this smoke gives me the element of surprise... Kenji had snuck up behind one of the attackers and stabbed, felling him in one strike. He moved onto the next one.

Zeo was about halfway there.

OOC: The mission that I told you guys about at the end of Chapter 1/beginning of IDH? -_-''

IC (Kaze)

Kaze ended up at Kazuki's office, which was currently a little doorless, but Kaze decided not to ask.
"Kazuki, when do we leave to search our old houses?" Kaze asked him, and Kazuki looked up from a bunch of papers.
"You'll leave as soon as you can assemble everyone except Zeo and Sakeo." Kazuki said, and went back to looking at the papers.

OOC: It'll be an interesting chapter...

IC: Vex had her head in her hands, thinking that maybe if she covered her eyes she oculd pretend they weren't there. Pretending was a lot harder to do than actually accepting reality.

OOC: You gots a link, Blade?

IC:
Kenji had taken out another one, and one of Rakoua's Ki blasts happened to incapacitate another. That left 4. But just when Kenji was about to be stabbed himself, the attacker was attacked by a kick to the head. "Hey, Zeo. What took you so long?" Kenji asked.

"Oh, you know. Running."

"Right..." The two took off, Zeo having difficulty in the blinding smoke, to continue the battle.

[Rakoua]

IC (Rakoua):
It took two more shots to take another one down, and it was pure smashign between Kenji and myself that got the rest of them. The smoke cleared up.

IC (Kaze)

Kaze was walking through the halls of the school, when he heard a muffled explosion coming from the floor below, where the others were.
I just can't leave them alone for two seconds... Kaze thought, and started running to the nearest set of stairs.

[Rakoua]

OOC: Rakoua doesn't like paradoxes.
IC (Rakoua):
Getting out, I crahsed into Kaze.

IC: Vex had moved to the far side of the table and was whimpering out of fear. She was afraid that someone would try to hurt her, or someone would try to do something to her that she wouldn't like, and if that happened she would be unable to fight back as she lacked a lot in that department.

Feeling someone crash into him, Kaze reacted on instincts, and grabbed the figure's head with his left hand, aiming to charge and fire Ki if it turned out to be an enemy.

OOC: Wow, the reaction's sure changed in six years =P

IC:
As the smoke cleared, Kenji deactivated his x-ray vision and energy blade. He went over to Vex, who was still under the table. His arrival scared her, as if he was going to attack her, but he quickly put these thoughts to rest. Once again holding out empty hands, he said, "It's ok, Vex. It's just me."

[Rakoua]

IC (Rakoua):
Well people certanly change in six years. I said, and pushed Kaze away.

[Spink]

IC: "I'm scared." she said having moved her knees up to her chest again. "I want to leave... I want to be safe." she said looking at the ground in front of her. There had been so many first experiences for her in a single day, and she was still fearful of many of these firsts that had happened.

IC (Kaze)

"Sorry, I guess that trip to the alternate dimension changed me." Kaze said with a grin, and called into the cafeteria room.
"Oi! Kenji! Come here!" Kaze said, motioning towards him.

Kenji moved to sit beside her. "It's ok. This is one of the safest places you can be right now. After all, we've got a bunch of people that are strong enough to challenge almost any threat, and are getting stronger every day. You have nothing to worry about. And remember, if you should have a problem, I'm always here to talk to."

IC: She wiped her eyes with her hand and said "Okay." she still felt frightened and a little cold, but the latter wasn't the most obvious thing.
