Funny. i'm not a portal fanboy, have never played the games, and know little about it, and yet I'm agreeing with Haunter here.

Also, Portal =/= mindless overrated shooter.

Also, the success of Portal and the success of most shooters are not the same... Portal's more of a first person puzzle than most other things.

But, I think this can all be summed up with Haunter's mention about being disillusioned about the over-saturation of shooters. News flash for everyone: Shooter games are not the only games in the world!

Mahri: The only one I'd mildly care about is Goldeneye, and even that I wouldn't mind, if it meant all the others going away. =P Shooters have massively overrun the market.

IDK that much about steam, but can't you transfer games bought with it from one computer to another?

Also, no graphics card needed with my CPU. If you have an older CPU, you'll probably need graphics, but I honestly don't know.
