What, 4 or 5 years of it already with Apple; I think we have the right to judge their plan. =P And didn't I already said that this is but a preview opinion? I said don't judge things before you try it, yes; but even I don't go all "NO NO NO DON'T HAVE OPINIONS ON THINGS THAT AREN'T OUT YET!"; I follow the news stories if it's something that's interesting or has the potential to have an impact like Windows 8 Metro. However, when every second news story about Windows 8 says things like "Metro has no Flash support!(Also: Flash says "I'm not dead!", while everyone else says "You'll be stone dead in a moment")", and "Microsoft adapting app store for Metro, Metro not allowing apps that haven't been approved in store"... Then that's a good sign someone at Microsoft's R&D department needs to be checked out. =P If you've noticed; I haven't been actively going "HATE HATE HATE" on Windows 8, or Metro, itself. Just the extremely silly moves that Windows is making in addition to Metro. Like the app store. =P |

I find it lolworthy that all the hate goes at Microsoft and all the love goes at Apple yet my experience with Windows has been more positive them my limited experience with Apple. There's a reason why a good amount of Mac users dual boot, I guess.
But this new Windows looks like a step into Apple's shoes. One of the main things about Windows is that you have a lot more control over it. Of course, you can't possibly crash your Mac but there's stuff that you cant do on it that you can on Windows.

Ah, rakoua..... *shakes head*
See that W8 metro interface? That IS the start menu now. And for most things its your desktop. You need registry hacks and/or other geekfixes to make it work like W7, and even then that's not a perfect fix. Download W8. Its free right now. Or if you can't, watch YouTube videos of people using it. The interface is about as intuitive as quantum mechanics, and its about as user friendly as a cactus. And, as I said, any metro-disabling modifications you make break the system in some other way.
Also, all the hate goes to apple for me, but given the choice betweena Mac running lion's successor and a windows 8 computer, I don't blame anyone who switches to the Mac side. Also, other than having an app store that screws the devolopers over, how is W8 ANYTHING like OSX?
