I agree with Romney on many counts, but I think he will find it overly difficult to actually implement all the stuff he claims he'll do. I think that was Obama's main problem: he didn't fully realize how much of politics is pragmatism as opposed to idealism.

Obama has funded the Muslim Brotherhood to the tune of billions, while funding for embassy security is cut, and apologizes every time there is an incident... to them, not us. His vision of being a world leader gets in his way of being OUR leader. My philosophy is after US the rest of the world comes next. We need to adequately feed and clothe our own, fund our schools, support our soldiers with whatever they need to come home alive...and protect all who are abroad in the service of our country. AFTER that, we can start helping other countries.

Obama has not funded the Muslim Brotherhood and I believe he has reduced the number of US troops engaged overseas. Every president has apologized for American actions at least once, though I do agree Obama may have gone overboard a bit now and then. I also agree that we should focus on our country more, which is why I disagree with Romney backing Israel with whatever they do.

That said, I do think Romney is the better candidate simply because we need to fix our economy at the moment.

1. stop borrowing from China and giving to mid eastern countries.
2. Stop giving foreign aide except in dire emergencies.
3. Tighten screening process for welfare, free phones, all gimmee programs.
4. NO private travel for any political figure is paid for.
5. Reduce taxes on everyone, businesses and individuals alike, so businesses can afford to stay here and people can afford to support them.
6 HAVE a dang budget.  ( currently we have not had one in 3 years )

I assume that you're referring to the incidents in Syria and Egypt. Well, newsflash: Obama wasn't the one who issued the apology, it was the US embassy in Egypt; and for bonus points: the apology was issued BEFORE the incidents took place. Once again, this is what we call "lying".

Obama has plans for all of that; Romney's only plan seems to be "let God sort them out". This is especially apparent in his 47% comments. In general, he seems to be, for the most part, running on a platform of "not Obama".



Additionally, Romney's economic plan is basically impossible. You can't not increase taxes (incidentally, his official campaign site is still calling for tax cuts, as he was until last night when he had an apparent change of heart.), reduce the deficit, and do the various other things he's promising all at once. It's not really possible!

And speaking of brazen lies....

Also, his plans for balancing the budget? Idiotic. PBS accounts for .01% of the US budget. Newsflash, Mitt: cutting PBS won't do anything but get rid of one of the few decent networks on TV.

I am not going to answer point by point here, but I will say that after the NPR cut announcement by Romney, I would not trust their figures as far as I could spit... 
NOR will cutting their funding get rid of them...
Defunding PBS is a politically bad move, sadly.
The truth  is however, that they were funded originally because they were new. Today they get over 80% of their funding from private donations. THIS is what is SUPPOSED to happen.. give enough help until no more is needed..
