And the intergrated sandy bridge graphics are pretty good actually, I think I could run Shogun 2 Total War demo at medium with it perhaps? Not sure. But they can play HD movies which an older nVidia card on an Apple laptop has problems with.

Actually, MTM, I think I have a quicker mercy-kill method for Blade's computer: he can try to open the massive LXF file I PM'd him.

Meh, I just took AMD cause it was a cheaper alternative to buying a 17" HP pavillion (read: HP overheater) with a first generation isomething and a nVidia. And the only problems were with switchable graphics drivers, and I hear that switchable graphics are nVidia tech...

External HDDs work just as well as HDDs inside of your computer, if we're talking regular files.
Especialy if you have eSATA or USB 3.0

I have USB 2.0; but no 3.0 or anything... besides, I'd have to check, but I don't believe the HDD has 3.0 support. Could be wrong.

However, to just transfer, and occasionally stream to listen to stuff, I believe it'll work fine. =P

Also: can anyone help me solve the infamous Vista/W7 "preparing to copy" glitch when downloading files?  When it takes me upwards of 20 minutes to download a 60KB~ish LXF file, something is majorly wrong.

you can't plug 3.0 into a 2.0 port.  and you're correct, but running programs over USB 2.0 can be epic fail very easily.

Flipz: If you mean on the Viewing part of the topic; that's because of his usergroup. =P It's just that you don't notice it as much nowadays, as most the team members who formerly would've only had that, now have the in-topic name colours. =P

MTM: I wouldn't be running programs, I'd be streaming music files. =P Winamp would still be comp side; I'd just have more free space music wise on my space. Though, my most played stuff would still be on my comp.
