Oh, that's a given for me. =) This music rivals the Megaman series in 8 bit-like synthesized awesomeness... And that is amazing.

I'll say right now, though, that this is the 3DS version, but that doesn't take away anything. Difficulty's still intact, after all. =P

Wait; 3 versions? I thought you only had Cave Story 3D? If you have Cave Story + on Steam, the only reason you'd want it is if you wanted CS+ be portable. =P

Also, blame Nicalis. I doubt it's Pixel's fault. =P

Cave Story DSi, Cave Story DSi that I ported to my 3DS, and Cave Story 3D. SO, technically, two versions, not three.

And some versions have Curly Mode, some have time challenges, some have sound player, some have 3D and high quality graphics, some have retro 8-bit graphics, some have other stuff...but I don't there there is a single version that has everything.

I've only bought one version of Cave Story, namely the PC/Mac/Linux version of CS+. It was in the Humble Indie Bundle 4, so all told it was a real steal. (I got it and a bunch of other Indie games for less than CS+ costs on its own!)

The reasons I love it is because its origin is possibly as indie as indie gets - one guy, Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya, working alone over the course of five years, made this game from scratch. The music, the graphics, the level design, the items, the story and characters, the engine, the program that was used to develop the aforementioned music.... The amount of work this one man put into the game is incredible. And it's a fine game, too - it's in my top ten list. He deserves his success.
