(To explain: when you set up your account, it asks what movies/books you've already seen/read, so that it can hide spoilery content.) |

After reading the books a million times, I tried reading them backwards (starting with 7, ending with 1). Pretty crazy and it gives you an appreciation for all the foreshadowing in the series.

Kodak changed the lives of families living if different cities.. life events could be shared with grandparents, siblings, etc. Think pre internet... Think about great grandma opening a letter and getting the first picture of her first great grandchild. Pictures of weddings, and funerals were routinely mailed to family members too far to travel for the events. There is a reason they call them Kodak Moments...
Think of all the vietnam war kids who only knew their dads through the pictures... and the dads who went off to war with a photo in their helmet....

It's kind of too bad Kodak didn't keep up with the digital times.
68286 I'm kind of glad, actually; it lets "Kodak" remain synonymous with physical film cameras (for the most part), so it's a lot cleaner and more poetic that way. Contrast FujiFilm, which has "film" IN THE NAME and yet is a major producer of digital cameras; it's kind of weird and ironic, and not really poetic at all. Also, palindrome. |

/EDIT: It shows everything as being okay for regular members to view; it's the second subforum of the Nexus, right? Because everything looks alright to me, in the ACP...
