Unity definitely seems like it would work well for a game. Now I just need to get back to a computer that can actually, you know, run it without melting. *Sighs* I don't mind this laptop, but it REALLY inconveniences me sometimes. Blender and such ran perfectly on my old one...

The backlight seemed to be going on it, so I switched laptops; except it has a horrible graphics card, and stuff barely runs right.(Steam is a very good example there, as it is just plain broken in many spots. =P)

Xubuntu 12.04 LTS. =P That's what this laptop's running; though my desktop is Win 7.

Eh; both were not so great; and it might not even truly be the actual computer, so much as the ports being un-optimized. I mean, Steam shouldn't require so much stuff. And my old card wasn't that much better... xD I want a totally new laptop eventually anyway, though, so it will do for now. It's just annoying because I can't try Unity (The game engine, not the... 'interesting' desktop environment), due to no Linux port seemingly. =P(And, well, the graphics card on top of it. =P)

Nice. =D I wouldn't mind so much, but everything is trying to get people to conform to the Software Center. The Synaptic Package Manager is much better. =P I'd say apt-get install; but that you have to know the name of the package before you try to install it. =P

Heh; that sounds like it was very fun; I can definitely see how that would work. xD Of course, then came the Mistika, and no-one had an excess of Silver parts. =P

And yeah, the prices have changed drastically over the years. Funny thing is, it's typically the older people who say the 'when I was your age, things were 50 cents!' type speech. ... Get off my lawn. =P

Heh; I definitely know the feeling there; having experienced that a couple years back. xD But yeah; it's a rather good 'oh man am I old' check; and I feel that's just gonna become the case more and more as years grow on. The unfortunate thing, is that'll likely be at the maximum level when the kids who love LEGO have never heard of Bionicle before. And that'll be a sad day, simply because it was one of the most awesome themes ever; and probably one of the most awesome toy lines while it was around. =/

Radetzky: Yeah, tell me about it... And the sad truth is that that's a common problem these days; you really have to pick and choose what to get, and when to get it, these days... If you really like some kind of food, for example, you have to wait until it goes on sale, and hope it's cheap enough; especially if you're on a budget or so. =/

That's a good question... I kinda wish I had some unopened sets, though I have no regrets about opening all of them. =P

Oh yes; to answer the backlight question a little more; if it had continued, then the laptop would've been useless... When it acted up; I could not do anything unless I REALLY looked closely; it was as if the screen was off, aside from a hint of what was on the screen at the time. It was nearly impossible to shut down without the power button force-shutdown. =/
