The only reason it'd be worse, is because Microsoft would do the same thing Apple's doing with their App Store(Pretty much having control over it); but we don't hear of anyone complaining because no-one would complain over no IE.

However; here; we have the reverse. Microsoft's in control; and you can be almost guaranteed they'll lock out Safari and iTunes and the like, to try and stop Apple from getting on Metro.

However, you could always switch to the old interface, and run everything like normal, as the MicroStore is only for Metro. =P
