See that W8 metro interface? That IS the start menu now. And for most things its your desktop. You need registry hacks and/or other geekfixes to make it work like W7, and even then that's not a perfect fix. Download W8. Its free right now. Or if you can't, watch YouTube videos of people using it. The interface is about as intuitive as quantum mechanics, and its about as user friendly as a cactus. And, as I said, any metro-disabling modifications you make break the system in some other way.
Also, all the hate goes to apple for me, but given the choice betweena Mac running lion's successor and a windows 8 computer, I don't blame anyone who switches to the Mac side. Also, other than having an app store that screws the devolopers over, how is W8 ANYTHING like OSX?
