i know someone who's grandfather once took out a month to read the entire rise and fall of the roman empire at the expense of most everything else. probably LESS healthy for him than if he had, say, gotten a Wii.
And have you SEEN some of the drivel written recently? Tell me how Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer, 50 shades of gray, or Twilight - some of the most popular books ever written - enrich your mind or soul in ANY way, do ANYTHING to educate you.
VS something like LU, minecraft, or portal.
books are not better. they're simply different.
and the argument is very easy to make that video games are created more effectively because they are more likely to keep you coming back for more.
