So, I have 6/8 badges so far and am starting to think about competitive teams. I had this crazy idea for an all-Water team (some combination of Azumarill, Greninja, Starmie, Rotom-W, Mega Blastoise, Ludicolo, Tentacruel, Golduck, and/or Vaporeon), where my coverages come from secondary typing. (I'd love to have Swampert on there, but even if someone gave me one it wouldn't be tourney-legal and I'd like it to be whether or not I bother). Am I crazy, or could this work?
Water's weaknesses are Grass and Electric; Rotom, Ludicolo, and Swampert (or Quagsire, if I'm only using tourney-legit 'mons) would resist Electric, while Ludicolo, Tentacruel, Starmie, and Gyarados could resist Grass. I'd probably take Azumarill because Fairy OP, and Tenta to deal with opposing Azumarill; the rest are still up in the air. Thoughts?
