@Blade-yes,if they,say,do Johto remakes*crosses fingers* I'll battle you RIGHT AFTER him.

Hmm....not opposed to it,but i don't get wi-fi,at least until the next Pokemon game,since,with the compatibility of the Dsi,Nintendo will most likely make it WPA compatible,opening up some oppurtunities for me. Now that you mention it,the competitive NATIONAL tournaments start in May,meaning you can battle other people on their Ds....well,plural of DS. Also,anyone who enters gets a free Shiny Milotic,lvel 50. If you're wondering how i know this,i go to Bulbanews A LOT.

TOTALLY overhaulin' my team. This is what it'l look like:
Lucario(for strength)
Alakazam(for Sp. Attack and Skill Swap,i really hoped Lucario could learn it,but this works)
Charizard(migrated a Charmander today. EV training will be Speed and Sp. Attack,and a little HP.)
Slaking(but you knew that)
Electivire(I would NEVER ditch him,and keep in mind,i ditched my starter! Also,he now knows Ice Punch.)
Water Type,possibly Feraligatr(I decided,despite my laziness,I am gonna beat Coluseum for several rare Pokemon,and for something to do)

A few questions regarding EVs:
Are there 512 max EPs,or 510?
How do you guys keep track of your EPs? Seems kinda hard...

and,last but not least,any movset suggestions for al my Pokemon,other than Electivire(Alakazam MUST have Skill Swap)?

Yeah, I knew about that tourney, I think I may have a good prize too, but I'm gonna keep that until the end, since it involves the top 4/5(I haven't decided yet) people's prizes . If I can get a good way to get multiples of something, I may give that out as a participation prize(Chikorita maybe?), and they'll(Or at least the top prizes) will be eggs now that I know I can trade them =)

But, since I'm planning this tourney, and kinda would like to participate, I think I'll keep my team a secret as much as I can.

Oh, and ParaFlinch is awesome. Got a ParaFlincher in Emerald's Slateport battle tent through my new playthrough. And it was an Electrike. Yet it still worked. First turn: paralyzed. Second Turn: The opponent flinched!

I don't remember the Pokemon I was facing >_>

I got a Cyndaquil with Hidden Power Water! I wanted Hidden Power Grass or Ice, but it HAD to be Water!

I also have a Cyndaquil with Hidden Power Ice, but its IVs in Defense and Sp. Defense is HORRID.

Does anyone have a recommended moeset for Typhlosion that doesn't involve Hidden Power?

Ok,something weird here:

I went to Serbiiforums on my Dsi,and used the IV calculator. Well,i checked a Slakoth that i bred with my Slaking and Infernape. Here`s the weird part-i got 31 IVs in FOUR STATS,and 29 in the two others. Is that possible?

Also,it has gotten no EVs(the whole reason i tried to get this Slakoth was EV training) or experiance,level one.

That's not its true IVs. You have to level it up using Rare Candies to get a more accurate result, and then check its IVs.

Also, Slaking is NOT banned from competitive battle, since its ability saves it from being overused. Slaking is VERY powerful, and if used correctly, it can be a potent force on your team.

Especially if you use Gastroid acid on it.

Eh, with what I've been seeing in the team assembly department, this may actually be a good tourney, but it's your decision =) If you're sitting out, I would like a few suggestions of course for my team, since I haven't even started it yet =P

You should start the tournement when I get Wi-Fi... no, don't wait for me. My parents are deciding on wether or not to get a new comp(and keep the current one), in which case we'd get wireless internet(which I could use as wi-fi, hopefully).

As for double battles, the entire strategy changes. You need to pair up your team so that it works really well together(eg. Tyranitar/Hippodon combined w/ someone that has Sand vail etc.) One of my favourite combos is having Electivire and a Volt absorber working together, each w/ discharge. Electivire's Speed raises each turn, and the volt aborber heals each turn. Then there's all the moves that aren't used in single battles(or mostly aren't used), like Skill Swap, Gastro Acid etc.

@Blade: I've played as a female ever since crystal... the guy always looks weird, and I can't come up w/ a good guy name. Usually I name my char after the version(I've been Crystal, Emerald, Diamond(cause Pearl is a bad name...) and not Platinum(it didn't fit)).
I'm hoping Electivire doesn't grow to lv 100 before I'm done EV training. He's currently lv 93 w/ 136/252 Atk and 100/252 Spd...

And ParaFlinch is awesome(especially w/ Togekiss's ability).

To avoid that,just go to Sandgem town,head up and battle Shinx and Starly endlessly.....boring but effective.

I don't need movesets anymore,i just google "moveset for (Pokemon)",then it gives me SerbiiForums,and all of my Pokemon have been "Pokemon of the week/day",giving me multiple movesets.

Won the Battle Castle print....wasn't really a great victory,though. BARELY won.

the silver print? Yeah, no one has seemed to get a great victory on this one yet. I lost the first time I tried it...

Starly and Shinx... Starly gives speed and Shinx gives atk right? I don't need speed yet. I have the power anklet, so with 38 battles I should have speed maxed out. I'll just battle enough pkkmn to get atk 38 from the max, then battle 38 pkmn who give out 1 atk EV while training w/ the power anklet.

Sigh....for some reason Lucario has struggled with doing damage.....it takes him three or for attacks t obeat a pokemon 6 levels above him.

Alakazam-I have him. That's it. I did get him Skill Swap though,MILD accomplishment...
Charizard-level 37,progressing nicely...
Lucario-level 20...hasn't exactly panned out yet. Used my BP to buy a ton of Proteins and Carboses,making the EV training MUCH easier.
Vigoroth-level 18-the real training sttarts when he evolves.....
Electivire-level 73.....at least i don't have to train him that much...

How is summer busy for you?

I am curious about Gold/Silver remakes....no OFFICIAL news,but they seem likely....the 12th movie features the three Johto starters.

First half? Sounds good to me. I think I could get my stuff trained by then (If I can even figure out what to use) The only problem for me would be IVs, since I don't have a true practical way to find them out...

And I agree, there are a bit small when I think about them... =P

Dudebot: Yes, it might be. Plus, it's not just useful for this, but it's awesome for this. =D

MN2: Plus, apparently there's something that features something about Battle Revolution on one part, and a Totodile on another... Which is interesting, because Totodile hasn't been practically available for a while.

Oh, I've been getting some ideas for that recently from a few pages. Also, think about this; why would a 2nd generation Baby Pokemon and three 2nd gen starters be featured in a movie? Plus, we haven't even had a glimpse of the 5th gen yet, which we'd usually see by now. And with the release of the DSi, if Nintendo started to phase out the DS Lites and such, it'd be a perfect time for them to release GSDS.

Yeah, but for me, it's not that bad a thing, as I've almost got all the Emerald/Sapphire/FireRed stuff and have already got an old DS... But, that still doesn't answer the availability of the starters and such. Sure, Emerald and Colo/xDXD has the Johto starters, but XD/Colo were released back around 2005 or so, and since not many have it or could get it now, they need an easier way to get them. And not everyone has a way to get all the Hoenn Dex Pokemon in Emerald, like me.(Speaking of which, anyone happen to have a Zangoose? Since I don't have Ruby, I have absolutely no way to get one >_> Same with any other Ru exclusive Pokemon that aren't in Emerald, though... I don't actually think there are any others.) And there's also the fact that you can only get 1 starter from Emerald. Plus, Ho-oh and Lugia, who aren't easy to get in Colo/XD respectively. You need to beat Mount Battle in Colo for Ho-Oh, and purify Shadow Lugia which is pretty hard to pull off if you don't know how to. Plus, there's the same stuff about Colo/XD for the Johto Starters, in the fact that not everyone has it/can get it. Plus, it'd make certain Johto Pokemon easier to get(... Anyone happen to see Miltank around?), and possibly some Kanto Pokemon(Anyone know the chances of finding a Tauros in a Honey Tree or the Kanto Safari Zone?). Plus, Platinum explains where the 3 birds from Kanto went, and has tons of references to Johto, like the Happiny egg guy's reference to Elm, the Red Gyarados reference, Jasmine showing up in the electric gym town, among others. And the anime seems to have an awful amount of Johto references from what I've heard(Including May's return from Johto and referencing that).

Also, not related to that... Is it just me, or in the battle against Crasher Wake, did Brock have Lucas' platinum jacket on? 0_o

...you looked at Bulbapedia,didn't you? All those reasons are listed at BP for potential Johto remakes...pretty good arguement actually.....

Heracross
Murkrow Family
Mantine family
Aipom  Family
Grass type(Eggzecutor?Sunflora?)

That reigon is not going to get an HM slave outta me. I would probably just bring one in my party when i needed it,then switch it back out with the sixth pokemon.

If nintendo DOESN'T make any remakes,they would be making a HUGE mistake.

... Yes. But I also feel the same. Plus there's the big Johto Data Location thing, and apparently there's two of them, and since when there's been two or three, it's corresponded to a version apparently... And I had been wondering why the birds were in Plat, and that does explain it, like why the birds instead of Entei, Raikou, and Suicune? And then there's the fact that I fall into "Can't get Colo/XD" category >_> No Wii/GC, and Colo/XD all out of stores by now probably.

I dunno what mine'd be yet, since they could change up what's available due to them probably adding a Johto Dex type of thing....

And you're right, since a) I think everyone's internal battery is dead by now, and b) everyone wants them, it seems to be a lot of people's favourite region, and Johto is awesome.

Yeah,the whole "location data" thing seems to push this thing from speculation to possibility. Although,they WERE hacked pokemon,meaning the hacker easily could have done that to fool us.

No, because you can't hack stuff into the game that isn't already in there. DSes don't lie. You can fake images, but you can't hack stuff in that's not already there, and if someone with one of those hacked Pokemon traded it to one of us, it'd say the Johto location still.
