The Touchscreen stuff is awesome, that's what it is ^^ For example, in the pack, you can select items from the bottom screen, while the upper screen shows art of the trainer with the pack it seems.

Draco Meteor on a non dragon type will be interesting...

'k

About Touch Screen Info: well, it's kinda good an bad. I like navigating with the controls, so hopefully it's not like Phantom Hourglass where all controls are touch screened, cause that makes playing while lying down hard...

Having a pokemon walking behind you might get annoying after a while, although having them get items is cool.

And Jirachi with DM is kinda odd... I guess Jirachi being space related and getting a meteor move is natural, but Draco Meteor isn't that great of a move due to it's ability(although using it then switching out is good...)

Well, it'll only be the menu, unlike Ranger. Since it showed the action on the touch screen and the menu on the bottom screen where the Poketch would be on D/P/Pt. We learned that from alst month's scans, and it'll probably be D-pad usable like the battle screen too.

D=

According to Serebii, I used the power items wrong...

Quote
Instead of just doubling the EVs gained in battle, the Power item will add 4 to it. So if you're battling a Gengar while your Pokémon holds the Power Lens that gives 3 Special Attack EVs, you will earn a massive 7 EVs which means almost 2 Points added, add to that the possibility of PokéRus, the possibilities get much easier.

I thought it was power item = 4 EV each time... D=

Good thing I'm only done with Sneasel and haven't fully started on Chimchar/Elekid.
*Sigh of relief*

I'll comment on news later.

So you earn 14 Special Attack EVs each time.

The formula for EV gain is:

y=k(e+p)

y= Total EVs earned
k= Pokerus value, 1 if the Pokemon has none, 2 if the Pokemon has Pokerus.
e= Effort value the opposing Pokemon gives
p= Power Item, 0 if Pokemon is holding none, p=e if Pokemon is holding Macho Brace, 4 if Pokemon is holding the Power Item    corresponding to the EVs gained from the opposing Pokemon

EV trainig Post E4 is easy(especially for a physical sweeper that wants a 252/252 spread on Atk and Spe). But I don't know how far you are yet, but if you beat the E4 I would try to get the Power Anklet(for Speed) and battle a guy a Cycling Path/Road who has a Staraptor, Dodrio and Farfethched, which would give 6 Atk EVs and 12 Speed EVs with the PA. And if you have PKRS then it's 12 and 24 I think...

True, EV Training just takes me less than an hour if you have a Power Item as well as the Pokerus.

Also depends on how the EV spread is(unless you have all of the Power Items, then it doesn't matter...)

Oh, and anyone know a good spot for SpAtk EV training?

@B~T: I'm going to add that message to the first post. Thanks for the info. =D

Good luck. I'm going to face the E4 after I do all my own EV training. (On Pearl, so I have access to everything I already got. =D)

Where's the guy with 3 Staraptors?

Oh, and congrats on getting past the E4(you did it a lot faster than me...) You must have trained prior to the E4, cause when I was preparing to take it on the first time my Pokemon were at level ~50... (now you need to train before redoing the E4 when it goes up in power).

And the Johto League was rediculously low. It made training for high level pokemon hard.

And you'll need more than cash to complete your villa,( although I actually don't know the requirments for it, because GameFaqs was wrong).

Yeah, I've seen how underpowered the Johto gyms were. Wonder if they'll up it for HGSS? Though, my theory is it might've been because of Kanto and the fact that it'd've had to have been 59-90 or so for the Kanto gyms if it had've gone with the current standards... Though a level 100 vs. Level 100 Gold vs. Red battle would be epic.

I may get back to training, but I'll need to run through the Battle Frontier before I do, since I forgot to get the rest of the Power Items the first few times I had BP...

I've made a competitive Starmie, Scizor, and Dragonite.
I've yet to evolve Staryu though. =P

I also have a Gligar, Yanma, Omanyte (for UU), Bagon, Milotic (I've yet to EV Train), and Larvitar which have good IVs.

Also, once I get Platinum on my B-Day, I am planning to trade Scizor over to Platinum, since I feel that Bullet Punch Scizor is illegal on my Diamond.

Heh, Gallade and two others match up with the ones that'll be on my team eventually. =)

Is working for good IVs a good idea, or should I not focus on it that much? =/

@Blade: Focusing on IVs is RECOMMENDED.
An excerpt on my guide shows how your stats could change with this factored in:
  ~Adamant Lucario w/ 252 Attack EVs and 0 IVs - 316
  ~Adamant Lucario w/ 252 Attack EVs and 31 IVs - 350
In fact, if a Pokemon had a hindering nature with 31 IVs in the hindered stat, it will be much more powerful than a neutral nature Pokemon with 0 IVs in the stat that were to be hindered. Not saying that you should ignore natures.

And now I have an idea on how underleveled the Johto games are: The E-4 are around on their low 40s.

1. Hmm. Okay, I may, but it'll take even longer for the training that way.

2. BP Scizor is only illegal if there's no way to get it in a generation Wink

3. I think I may wait for the tourney 'til HGSS so people without Wi-Fi that may get it in between the tourney can get it and we can get more members =)

Well, that's a possibility, but we've only got like 3 or 4 players that do have Wi-Fi right now, including me, you, and BT... And Wi-Fi in general is confirmed for HGSS, it's just if it has the extra DSi settings that's up in the air Wink And if you're wondering how it's confirmed in general, it's on the box. Wink

IVs are too hard for me... (I'm currently breeding for natures, and EV training, but not IV getting...)

And what's better for a Toxicroak:
-Lonely with Dry Skin or
-Jolly with Anticipation(currently have both of those, which is why I ask. Anticipation isn't great, but Lonely hinders defence...)

Okay, my team that I'm trying to build up will include:
Porygon-Z
Starmie
Dusknoir
Scisor(I need to get a new one tho. Adamant or Jolly?)

The extra Wi-Fi settings...? You don't know about the extra encryption methods supported by the DSi? Well, they're there, there's more than WEP, but apparently games made before the DSi*Including Plat even though it was only released like a week before the DSi >>* don't support the new encryption methods.
