Well, the updated art has it(Which makes me wonder if it's similar to the BW1 Japanese box arts, how it was a 'depending on which way you look, you get a different image' cover. It was kept here only from looking between the cover and manual's cover very quickly. =P); so I'm guessing it'll be handled similarly to Reshiram and Zekrom's ingame sprites. And yeah, but if they switched elements as well... =P(Then, at least we'd have an awesome Zapdos-like electric dragon, but which was black. =D)

Given the original dragon rumours about Kyurem, I'd expect to either see it in a non-playable form this game(Sorta like the Zapmolcuno mashup from early Pokemon Special, though it was Manga only period.), or, as you theorize, a third set of sequels. Or Grey, since if you have a trilogy revolving around the Tao trio, you kinda need one last version to finish it off, instead of two more versions which would likely just split the Original Dragon further. =P

Playing Red Version on a gameboy colour is strangely satisfying, probably due to the fact that item cloning is really easy and the old sprites are pretty cool to see and are a lot rougher than the new ones. Yellow version is also fun, since you get all three starters along with Pikachu, but the lack of cloning is meh. Also not getting a mew isn't as good as Red either.
I would replay crystal, but that would mean resetting and losing my Celebi and Ho-oh which I got from my friend years ago...

Also, playing the battle frontier in Emerald is awesome, and if/when remakes come out I really hope gamefreak brings back the exact same frontier (even without updated graphics would be fine). I think emerald's frontier is the high point of gamefreak's development.

White version now seems so simple compared to those older games. The bright side is the fact that I can get wi-fi event pokemon now... a few years too late though.

For Red, the Missingno glitches were awesome. However, they can technically still be done for Yellow, you just need a more... Interesting approach. Similar to the Mew glitch, but by battling other stuff. I think that items can be cloned that way too, haven't tested it in a long while, though.

Gold/Silver/Crystal has the second easiest Pokemon Cloning Glitch, though, IMO.(Given that Gen 1 had a Pokemon cloning glitch, but it involved the Link Cable, instead.) Crystal's was slightly harder to pull off, though, and they all had a higher chance of corrupting data. =P

I honestly wish that the cloning glitches would return. That's more or less a staple of the series, since every generation but 5 has had some form of it.(Even D/P, though that was much harder than any of the others, since you needed precise enough timing, and it didn't even work for everyone, due to fluctuations in routers.)

my fav cloning glitch is emerald's battle frontier. The ability to clone pokemon and items at the same time with ease was awesome, and allowed me to transfer a ton of pokemon from emerald to Pearl/Plat and still keep them in emerald to play the frontier with.

This is why I like playing on an emulator.  Infinite save-states.   (Note that this is of limited use on D/P/Pt, and I have no idea if I can even run HG/SS on emulator.  I'm almost certain I can't on B/W, and I'd rather just get them outright anyway, but I can't unless/until I move out. :-/ )

Also, I completely forgot what I was doing in Emerald before I randomly stopped playing.  I know I'm right at the spot where I have to choose a fossil, I forget, do I get the other one at the end of the game like the fossils in FR/LG, or is this a permanent choice?  Which one will be more useful to me pre-Final Four?

Hey, guys, thespeedgamers.com is going to do a livestream playthrough to catch EVERY single Pokemon to raise money for charity.  It starts in just over 15 minutes!

EDIT: OK, so I'm evaluating my Emerald team, and here's what I have on me:

Grovyle
Taillow
Marshtomp
Kirlia
Combusken
Linoone

Thinking ahead to Final 4, Blaziken can take the Ice-types and the Dark-types with minimal fuss, and I'm thinking of switching Grovyle for Cacturne, which should deal with the Ghost-types.  I want an Ice-type of my own to deal with the dragons, which would you suggest?  (Keep in mind what I can and can't get pre-Elite Four.)  Finally, I can either use Cacturne on the Water-types and just deal with the damage, or, preferably, I need a Pokemon with an Ability that renders it completely immune.  Is there anything like than in Emerald?

EDIT 2: OK, looks like Lombre with Mega Drain and Leech Seed is my best bet, I'll just have to remember to switch to Cacturne (Pin Missile/Needle Arm/Faint Attack/Spikes) for Tentacruel and the enemy Ludicolo (weak to Pin Missile).  My Ice type will be Glalie.  That leaves me with two Pokemon slots open, who do I use as backup?  And what kind of prep should I make for the upcoming gyms/etc.?
