...I can't tell if this is serious or not, since high-end gaming PCs will easily outclass any console. You also have the added benefit of being able to mod things much easier.

 Well, I was serious, mostly because you can buy an Xbox console for $250 and it'll run any game that's developed for it. PCs that can do the same thing a quite a bit more expensive.
