I must sadly say that MTM is now in a class of computing all his own. 2013 rolled around, and I decided I was tired of being behind the tech curve. So, now I have a computer that can not only support DirectX 9.0c; but DirectX 10. =D

Yeah, still a little behind, but honestly? I can upgrade this time. No more being held back because of AGP. PCI-E all the way.

I probably will get some more RAM, even though it already has 2 GB in it as is, but... I think it's a pretty good machine. Better than my current desktop, that's for sure. =P

Well,  I'm probably still ahead of you a bit,  but honestly I don't care as much anymore - my Galaxy Note 2 has taken over as my primary computing device

Well, that's true. =P The Note is very likely the better of the two(Even with it's stats); and is something I'd probably look into if I ever wanted to get a phone. But yeah, I can definitely understand with a phone like that.

Christ man my MacBook is almost 5 years old and even it's got 4 GB (which it came with, I never upgraded it due to a lack of necessity)

On the flipside, though, I'm still running WinXP for my gaming needs so I can't get up to DX10. And my graphics card is the 8600M GT, which as we all know worked out real great. It's a wonder it's lasted this long, actually.

Just a few hundred dollars more till custom build....

Why is this turning into a "who has the worst computer" contest

Although for its faults I actually like my MacBook, it was good for 5 years ago and still decent today, even after custom build it will still be on my desk and will still be often used

Just not for gaming anymore

I have an old laptop that still works fine, if a bit slow due to the XP install being 7 years old and the fan being clogged up. It has AMD integrated from 2005. So, yeah. But my current laptop has an i5 2410m and 6630m.

Canama: Never said it was totally good. I wanna upgrade it to at least 4 GB as fast as I can. Was mostly just saying that it has 2 GB already, so there's no huge rush, since it's still got 32 Bit Windows 7 on it for the moment. But it can be upgraded to at least 8 GB; it'll just cost me 100 dollars to get all four chips I need. =P

As for my graphics situation; were you talking about the geForce Mobility? Because I have the desktop version of that, right now.(asdf I could've had a freaking quadro, if it weren't for the fact that it wouldn't fit. xD ... actually, I would've had a bunch more memory, but it had the wrong pins. =P)

MTM: I'd personally side with Canama about that(Though that quote was hilarious; I wanna put it in my sig. xD), but I'd doubt my Radeon 9000 in my Linux laptop is much better(Well, in terms of performance and so forth; not the actual comparison, since your integrated chip would probably still perform circles around it. =P).

Canama: Yeah, that's the kind of computer I eventually want, and might have now. Maybe. At least it can be upgraded. >>'

Going to a different subject for a bit; you said you got Sonic Generations for PC recently, Canama? How is it?

Haven't actually tried it; the PC version is unoptimized and I doubt it would play nice with my machine. It's sitting somewhere below DXHR in the "when new computer happens" pile.

Also, I hear it plays terribly with mouse+keyboard so I'll have to pick up an Xbox 360 gamepad first.

Ah, I see. That kinda makes sense. Was just wondering about that; because I have the 3DS version, which while awesome, has a totally different level set, and a totally different unlockable music set. =P

Hmm, I should look into getting one of those in the near future. I have a generic old PS-styled USB controller; but with the emphasis on 'old'(I think I got it back in '04-'07?), I doubt it'd work for anything at all. =P

Everytime I'm on here with my phone, it makes me laugh, because it couldn't be farther from the truth xD It gets the service provider right, but DEFINITELY not the rest. "running linux and using safari" I understand the linux part.... but safari??? Really???
