From 2007 over to 2008, I present you with:

Lewa Nuva Mistika / Axalara T9

Presentation/Box Design

The box that holds Axalara T9 is massive. Actually, it's the same size as Battle of Metru Nui (the playset from 05). Showing Axalara t9 soaring through the sky piloted by Lewa, it is for sure an eye catching set(although I had to ask customer service for it...)
On the back it shows Lewa standing next to his battleship, as well as the many functions of the ship, along with a B.I.O. code. There are also pictures of Jetrax T6 and Rockoh T3.

Building/Construction

The building of Lewa is basically a regular toa inika, without any weapons. A very easy build, leading up to a much more exciting and challenging build.

Axalara T9 is built using three instruction booklets and five seperate bags, as well as long Technic rods and midaks and other weapons.
The main frame is built first, including the bottom of the ship, and the three main function areas(where you can control the functions).

Following this is the tri arms, which are put together in a very effective way, so as to make a smooth expanding/contracting motion.

Then comes the midak deploment function, which is probably one of the best functions.

The fourth bag builds an addition to the main frame, as well as a completion to the midak deployment function.

The fifth bag finishes everything off, completing the build of the giant battle ship.

New Pieces

New pieces include the Bitil wing thing(3)
Lewa's mask (1)
Lewa's visor (1)
Vehicle Side Pannel (12)
Tahu wings in silver (2)

Playability

With many functions and a regular toa character, playing with this huge set is easy and fun.
The handle on the underside was one thing that I thought I would hate, but it is very useful in aiding in playability. The three funtcions are great, and the new pieces and old recoloured ones are a great addition to the playability.

Final Thoughts

When all is said and done, this is a great set, and one of the best Bionicle sets since the 01 rahi sets and the Exo-toa/bahgrag sets.

Pros:
693 pieces
Cool new mask and visor(and other new pieces)
Great Functions
Midaks work well

Cons:
Price
Same toa design
Price

If you've got the money and are deciding on a set to get, Axalara is pure win!
