If you want to build virtually but hate the lag and restrictions of LDD, consider joining Roblox. Build sword-fighting maps, obstacle courses, RPGs, or just BUILD! With no limit to bricks and options for different materials (slate, plastic, concrete, ice, etc), building is easy. I saw a report on Roblox on BBC Click, it looked quite cool, they were saying how you can design just about anything and how LEGO fans will like it. I may join if I have the time for it.
