"H-how do you know that? I... I thought that..." Alex said, and Luke raised an eyebrow again.
"You thought that? You mean... What we heard... Was a mental statement?" Luke asked, kinda in disbelief.

And as for the second thing, I'm sure that it would be able to be bypassed in time, but right now, Alex can't read anyone else's thoughts either, just project his own. =P I'm just showing these powers awakening, but they aren't anywhere near full power yet.
