As Curtis walked forward, he continued to catch glimpses of the mechanical thing in the distance.  Gradually, he saw enough details to recognize it as the resilient mech that escaped their last battle.  After a while, however, it stopped appearing, and the canyon opened up, allowing him to see the remains of the destroyed Rebel base formerly commanded by General Vox.

Justin finishes cleaning the corridor, leaving the frozen Shiza alone.  When he hears about taking down the Emperor, he chuckles.

"We'll need a bit more manpower before we can take on the full wrath of the Empire, I'm afraid.  Have you considered hitting the prisons, or the Imperial Academy?  I was a student there before a Rebel attack gave me the opportunity to escape.  I know I wasn't the only one who wanted to get out, but...well, let's just say the Empire isn't exactly fond of quitters...especially because they can become "traitors."  Like I have."  He paused for a moment, thinking.  "If we do some upgrades to our mechs, plan our assault, maybe even get a couple people on the inside to find and prepare any sympathetic students, I think we could shut the Academy down for a long time, cutting off the Empire's supply of new recruits while increasing the number of people on our side.  Hmm...and on that note, I'm off to the lab to start work on some new ideas for our mechs!"

Justin heads for the lab.

OOC: have your Imperial characters met Adrian?

OOC: How long has Adrian been working for the Empire?  Because he might have met Justin when he was still at the Academy.  I'm sure Adrian knows Justin's father, though...Justin's dad is the Empire's public relations guy; surely Adrian has come into contact with him at SOME point.  Although, I'm not sure if the two would have ever discussed Justin. Bailey hasn't met Adrian...but I figure she will eventually.  It will be an...interesting conversation, to be sure.  I'm not entirely sure she would be hostile to his plans...as long as they coincide with her own.  I don't think Blade's chars have met Adrian (they haven't done so in this topic since they've been introduced), but only Blade knows their backstory.

OOC2: Also, my new char will be sort of a nature person; is it possible to create a sort of "steampunk mecha" out of wood and other "natural" materials?  (Obviously will be using physical melee weapons instead of Beam Sabers, but what other restrictions would there have to be?)  Also, she won't have an official faction at first, I want the other characters to try to win her over to their side once they meet her, is that OK?

Lloyd has. =P Unless you meant my Empire characters; then I'm not entirely sure. Ryan's met him, so theoretically at least Sara would have, but I'm not sure other than that. That mysterious character that's last on my list of Imperials, however... That character might have met him; but I'm not too sure.

Curtis frowned, as he ran toward the base quickly. He heard the rumours; that the mech in question was still active, and had been since the destruction of the base; and since he knew it was one of Sara's mechs, he was certain he could pilot it, if it came down to that.
