Lloyd frowned, as the enemy Imperial Soldiers continued to swarm the group, and Lloyd sliced through each opposing mech as they approached; as he had switched from a fully rendered screen, to a 'wireframe' display for the mechs, with enemies being displayed in red, and friendly troops in green. Lloyd fired a few shots at Imperials who attempted to attack his allies, as he continued to take down the other Imperials.

[The Truth]

OOC: I've been planning that from the very start.

IC: Rose fired a huge spray of missiles, lasers, and fire from her flamethrower.

The "Good" imperials fired millions of laser blasts at the enemy mechs.

OOC: Interesting. Well, I've got a few tricks up my sleeve. And I'm not necessarily meaning just here. =P

Lloyd simply sliced through the Imperials, as he moved toward the HQ slowly, as quick as could happen with waves on waves of Imperials blocking the way.

[The Truth]

Glory Towers shuddered...then stood up. The Imperial Capital was actually...a giant mech!

OOC: A mech that is more than three times taller than the Empire State Building...

Lloyd blinked, and looked up at the tower with a weird look.
"Are you kidding me?" Lloyd asked, a very confused look on his face.

[The Truth]

(Jared): "Oh, ****."

(Rose): *gulps*

(Shiza): "We're gonna go boom now."

Justin comes up behind the rest of the group and sees the Rebels surrounded by Imperials.  He panics.

"Hang on, guys, I'm coming!"  He unleashes a magnetic pulse to throw off one of the Imperials' aim.  Meanwhile, Justin tries to spot the Imperial in charge, and prepares a nanite infusion...then he sees Glory Towers transform into a mech.  His arms drop to his sides in shock.

"Oh my stars..."

OOC: He doesn't know there are Imperials on his side, so that's who he's attacking.
OOC2: Yes...and would Adrian come to visit Bailey in the med wing?

Bailey didn't expect to wake up.

She wasn't supposed to.  Agents who failed in their missions were not given the chance to do it again.  She had been incapacitated.  And even if her supervisor didn't count that as "failure," he certainly wouldn't hesitate to get rid of Bailey anyway.  She was far too dangerous to be allowed to live.

So when Bailey awoke, she was more than a little surprised to be alive.  Rebels.  It's the only way.  The fools have taken me in.  "Well, that'll be the last mistake they ever make," she muttered.

"Oh, Mistress Bailey, you're awake!"

Impossible...that was...

"E.R.I.N.?!?"

"I was so worried!  Don't worry, your boss has no clue.  As soon as I hacked this med droid I started jamming communications from the med wing.  Listen...that guy you were with, Curtis?  He brought you back.  Hasn't left the wing since.  I think you're right, he's the one.  Should we...?"

Bailey shook her head.  The motion only caused a little pain, easily ignored.  "No.  We let him in on this too early and he'll bolt.  No one his age wants that kind of responsibility.  He needs to take it on himself."  Bailey sighed, a sigh full of a different kind of pain, a kind she rarely allowed herself to feel.  "Plus, we need to find him a partner.  Someone who can help him take my place in this once I'm...gone."

"If we change the plan, maybe you don't have to--"

"No.  No.  If I live, the Empire will find me.  Especially once Chargas gets word of everything I've pulled so far to keep this secret.  If I try to stay with her, they'll find her and take her.  Like they took me."  A tear rolled down her face before she could stop it.  "If only...you know, the last time I thought I'd found the perfect way out...well, that's how I got into THIS scheme.  If it had only worked out...but no.  He left me."

"I thought you told him to go?"

"He should have stayed!  He should have stayed to protect me.  We could have fought to the end!  And then...and then...and then I wouldn't have had to endure such pain for these long years..."

A knock came from the other side of the door.  "Bailey?  Is that you?"

"It's Curtis.  Should I...?"

Bailey nodded.  "But stay here.  When he leaves, give him a glimpse.  Watch his reaction.   You know what to do."

With that, ERIN opened the door, and Curtis walked in.  But before the door shut, an arm stopped it from closing.  A second man entered the room.  One Bailey had never expected to see.

Lloyd frowned, but breathed in, closed his eyes, and then pointed his Beam Rifle toward the large Mecha.
"We can't give up now. We've come this far; we have to finish this. We can do this." Lloyd said, as he charged up a laser blast, and fired it at the Glory Towers for a first attack.

OOC: Can there be special 'modes'; like are seen in the different Gundam series? Basically, allowing enhanced abilities for a limited time. =P

Curtis looked to the side as Adrian walked in, and frowned slightly, but nodded, as he didn't know why he had suddenly decided to visit Bailey. However, Curtis then looked to Bailey, and smiled at the fact that she had finally woken up.

Justin gulps.  "Right.  Cover me"  Ignoring the Imperial mechs for now, Justin races to the foot of the giant mech...and jumps on.  Slowly, contstantly dodging fire, he begins to scale the giant behemoth.

"Hey, Curtis.  Didja find what we needed."  She makes a show of glancing at the rank insignia on the General's uniform, even though she already knows who he is.  "And how can I help you...General?  I didn't think I ranked high enough for a personal visit like this..."

OOC: Heh, I seem to be the master of WALLOFTEXT.  Also, Bailey won't recognize Tyrr as the voice on the communicator unless/until tyrr speaks.

Lloyd nodded, as Carrie's sub group of Rebels began to fire at the giant Mech, with Barry alternating targets between the enemy Imperials, and the Glory Towers.

(Adrian): "Curtis? Please leave us. I wish to speak to Agent Bailey privately."

A huge missile was launched from Rose's mech.

OOC: I haven't seen Gundam, but feel free to have special mech forms.

SOOC: It wasn't Adrian on the communicator anyway. It was one of his underlings.

OOC: Truth: I'm not necessarily meaning special forms; more a special ability for the operator of the mech. Like, enhanced reflexes, so that you can quickly adapt to situations, or overall own people.

Lloyd ran at the enemy Imperials, and slashed out at them quickly.

Curtis nodded to Bailey, with a smile.
"Yeah; I found what was needed." Curtis said with another nod, before Adrian started to speak. Curtis frowned slightly, and was a little skeptical, inwardly debating whether or not this really could be considered something worth privacy, but in the end sighed, and left the room for the moment.

[The Truth]

OOC: OK...I guess that could work. But there'd have to be a trade-off, like exhausting the operator.

IC: Glory Towers launched millions upon millions of missiles.

BOOC: Actually the mech form is called "Glory of the Empire".

"Helping us?  Why would you--?"  Suddenly, Justin flashes back to the day he realized he had to escape and fight the Empire.  "Never mind.  Glad to hear you've seen the light like I have.  Sorry about the attack; I fight for my friends."  He grins, and his tone of voice changes to one of slight amusement.  "I guess that includes you now.  Welcome aboard, friend!"

Bailey raises an eyebrow.  "Whatever you need to say to me is safe to say to Curtis.  He's saved my life twice already, and I'd trust him to do it again.  He's a great friend, and a valuable ally.  Still, if you want him to leave, you are the ranking officer."  Bailey nods to ERIN, and the med droid escorts Curtis from the room.

As soon as the door closes, ERIN grabs Curtis' arm.  "Wait."  Her eyes go dark for a moment as she activates the concealed listening device Bailey always wore on the necklace around her neck.  "Come on."  ERIN practically drags Curtis to the barracks, where she lets him in to Bailey's quarters.  "Stay here.  And for the love of cyberspace, DON'T touch ANYTHING."  With that, ERIN leaves the room to return the med droid, leaving Curtis to listen to Bailey's conversation with the General.

[The Truth]

Adrian pressed a button on his belt, activating a universal jammer and blocking the listening device's signal.

"Now, on to business. The rebels, you see, are right. The Empire is corrupt, and Chargas and his inner council are the most corrupt of all. If we are to save the empire, Chargas (and all of Glory Towers) must be eliminated. If you help me, you'll have an important position in my new Empire."

Curtis blinked, but nodded in slight confusion to ERIN, if only at the fact that a med droid willingly did that, and simply blinked as he looked around the room, with a sigh.
I hope I can avoid touching stuff. Purposely touching stuff I can avoid; it's accidental nudges or so that I have trouble with. Curtis thought, as he listened.

OOC: You typed that as I was typing. Plus, I'm not sure if Flipz wanted this conversation to be heard. Since it would help with some char development, theoretically. =P

Also, I'm trying to think of restrictions we can agree on. =P(And the source restrictions from SEED, which I can't find. >>; )

OOC: That's...surprisingly close in line to Bailey's plans.  They'd mesh well.  Not that Bailey would believe him...at least at first.

"OK, let's say I believe you.  Why would you want to overthrow the Empire?  I know what the Empire's done to me, but I'm not exactly in the position to risk everything I have do do anything about it."  The lie rolled off her lounge as easily as ever; good.  That meant that Tyrr hadn't arranged for a truth serum to be injected before she awoke.  "What have they done to you to convince you to rebel?"  Bailey paused for effect.  "OK, look, IF you convince me to join you--and it'll have to be a [bleep]ing good argument--I need a couple of guarantees.  First and most important--as in, deal-breaker--is that I need absolute protection for three, possibly four individuals.  They can't be touched by anything; I need them to live their lives safe and unaffected by whatever goes on with the Empire.  I don't care about much--this Empire will either live, or it won't, something will always be there to take its place.  But I care about this, so if you agree to protect them and then later you screw up or decide to double-cross me, I WILL kill you.  Understood?  This non-negotiable on any level."

OOC: this is a custom unit, so it's only partly blocked (i.e. bursts of static).  Assume that Curtis isn't hearing anything about rebellion, just the parts that would apply to Bailey's plan.

Sure enough, Curtis hits a hidden switch with his knee.  A window opens up at the back of the room.  Odd thing is, the room has no exterior walls.
