Dude, you guys HAVE to check out Knoxes' server Nexus Creed! I was digging a wide stone staircase for the Hall of Knowledge (I'm helping him beautify spawn), and I ran across a ravine. So, I decided, we should use it as the main area of the library (you know, soaring shelves of bookcases). So, we're digging out a few things, and I run across ANOTHER ravine (albeit not a very tall one, it was more like a tall cave). So, I think to myself, OK, we can use this as a tutorial area in caving once we clean it up and attach it to the rest of the tutorials. So, I'm placing torches to light it up (no sense in drawing mobs nearby) when what do I find just below? That's right--
ANOTHER ravine. This one's flooded with lava, so naturally I decide we're going to build a mine cart shaft and coaster to take maximum advantage of the area.
This place is going to be EPIC once we're done with it!
