Tomas frowned and narrowed his eyes.
"And how do you know that?" Tomas asked, cautious.

Tomas paled, and stepped back, as he growled.
This is not good... not good at all... Tomas thought, as he stared at Sally, trying to figure out exactly how she knew that.

(Kaitlin): "Sally, can you maybe leave me alone with Tomas?"

(Sally): "Sure. I hear there's a boy that looks like Edward Cullen here anyway. "

Tomas narrowed his eyes at Sally as she left the room.
"... I think I need to continue exploring the school..." Tomas said with a frown.

(Kaitlin): "I'll show you around more after lunch."

Wendy looks around, marks the location of the wall panel on her map, then, as an afterthought, sketches out how to trigger the latch on a scrap of paper and sticks it behind the edge of a painting.  Enough people have done things like that for me over the years, it's time I return the favor.  Gathering her courage, she steps into the passage.

-==IC: Hank, Rod, and Edward==-
Hank walks into the Biology classroom just in time to see Kitten demonstrate "her" Final Smash on Rod.  "And here I was telling Wendy you needed help finding a girlfriend.  Leave it to my cousin to make a liar out of me."
"Hank!  I didn't expect you to turn up here.  Still looking for your classroom?"
Hank stopped a moment at that.  "Yeah, I never did find the math room.  Anyway, I found a way to keep in touch."  He then explained the Rosewood firewall as he installed it on Rod's laptop.  Edward took interest in this.
"You think you could put that on my laptop, too?" Edward said.
"I don't see why not.  Though, since we've just met, I doubt you'd want to 'keep in touch' with me," he joked.
Edward ignored the joke.  "You can have my email.  He," he said, indicating Rod, "can't."  Hank could have sworn he heard Kitten mutter something that sounded like, "Boys..."
Hank turned back to Rod.  "Uhh...right.  Anyway, I requested one of these for Wendy, too, in case we need to contact her."
"Wendy..."
"Wendy Cran," he said, waiting for Rod to make the connection.
"Wendy Cran...OH!  Right!  Wendy!"
Hank rolled his eyes.  "So, find anything interesting?"  Rod looked to Kitten, and then to the Wii.  Hank sighed.  "Besides the obvious," he said.
"Well, I met Edward here, and Kitten, and Joshua.  Besides that...oh, there was this girl, Kaitlin, and a guy she dragged out with her, Tomas Greyson."
"I've met Greyson.  He's an...interesting character," he said, using the code phrase for a suspicious individual.
"He seems cool enough.  Though he claims to be a video games expert.  I'll have to change his mind."
Hank barely kept himself from groaning.  Rod was usually a LOT better at sticking to the case.  He'd have to find a private moment to remind him of that.  Speaking of which...
Rod had turned back to Kitten.  "So...do you have a school email address?"
Hank facepalmed.  "Just meet Wendy and me in the entrance hall after lunch, OK?"  Hank started for the door.
Edward's stomach growled.  "Hey, when is lunch, anyhow?  I hate to say it, but I don't think I can make it through second period without some food."

*Automated Voice*

"All students, please report to the lunch room."

(Kitten): "We played Brawl through two periods? Wow. Oh, and my email is kitten@rosewater.evl ."

The passage led Wendy into a small room, with papers scattered around. Most of the papers had meaningless text, but one of them contained an interesting photo: Alan Rosewater, standing next to a young girl. According to the date, it was taken a few days before the death of his daughter Veronica, making it likely that Veronica was the girl in the photo.

The room had apparently been accessed recently.

Wendy pulled out a digital camera--she usually used the one in her phone, but brought a small, cheap one with her to Rosewater due to the no-cellphone rule--and snapped a picture of the photo.  She'd print it out later when she had a chance.  She looked around to be sure there wasn't anything else of importance, then left the room, making sure to re-latch the door behind her.  She jotted some notes down in her journal, then, hearing the announcement, she headed towards where her map said the cafeteria was--being sure to mark down anything else of interest for later investigation.

-==IC: Edward, Rod, and Hank==-
Edward sat bolt upright, the blood draining from his face.  He looked completely like a vampire now.  "No...!"  He said, and ran from the room, shouting, "Noooooooooooooooooooo!" the whole way.

Rod ignored Edward.  "Great!  My email is RodJErthat@rosewater.evl.  Maybe we can...talk sometime."  He grinned, showing off his handsome features, and led the rest of the group from the room.

Hank ended up walking next to Joshua.  "So," he said casually, "I saw the Wii was hacked.  Pretty sweet job.  You don't think you could put me in touch with the person who did that, could you?  I, uh, need some programming help, and, well...no sense getting anyone less then the best!  I'm Hank, by the way.  Hank Darfry."

(Joshua): "I'm Joshua Rend. And I can introduce you to Sally at lunch, but don't blame me if she creeps you out."

"Ok...why would she creep me out?  Wait...she wouldn't happen to look like..." *describes Sally* "...would she?"

"Yep, that's her. But, if you want to hack a computer, that's me. Sally is a game hacker."

"Oh, really?"  He gently guides Joshua away from the rest of the group, leading him to an alcove with a statue that seems like a good spot for a private conversation.  "Then I need your help.  See, it's like this.  One of the students here seemed to recognize my name.  Now, that's bad, because a few years ago I got wrapped up in some stuff with this other guy, and since we look so similar people got our names confused, and they thought we were the same guy.  Now I know what you're thinking, it's nothing bad; it's just that he's a detective, and I stumbled across his case.  Actually solved it for him, strange as that may sound.  Anyway, it was some pretty sensitive stuff, and the cops managed to keep most of it quiet, but apparently they didn't do a good enough job.  That's where you come in.  I need you to wipe out any references left that might connect my name with his.  Better yet, since I'm not really into online interactions, just wipe my name, Hank Darfry, off the Internet.  Permanently.  You should probably do the same for my cousin Rod Jahey's name as well.  We just want to avoid trouble, and...well, if you can do this for us, we'll really be in your debt."  Hank thought for a moment, then added.  "And, uh, see if you can figure out how Tomas Greyson might have stumbled across our names.  The sooner I figure out why he seemed so interested, the better for me and Rod.  I'm sure you understand."

[The Truth]

(Joshua): *smiles*: "I can try...but just so you know, Sally almost certainly knows all this already. But I understand why you're anxious...everyone here has something that could get us killed. Actually..someone IS trying to kill me. Oh, and as for Tomas...ask Sally, not me."

[Flipz]

OOC: You've just made Hank a very happy man.  His first lead!

"Sally and Tomas...well, I'll have to keep an eye on them.  Buy someone's trying to kill you?  There's got to be a connection to the rumors around this place...maybe Rod and I could help you out.  Possibly another friend of mine as well, if she has the time.  Mind letting us look around the scene of the attempted murder attempt?"  Hank notices Joshua's expression.  "That detective taught me a few things along the way.  Didn't I tell you I solved his case for him?  Anyway, we'd best move quickly, before the evidence degrades."

Wendy arrives in the Lunchroom.  She looks around for the start of the line.

[The Truth]

(Joshua): "Well, I hate missing lunch, but sure. Follow me. _{Besides, Kitten likes hiding rubber snakes in my lunch...}"

Joshua led Hank to his room.

"So far, this room has been flooded with poison gas, a bomb has been hidden in my pillow, a family of black widows has tried to eat me, and someone hooked jumper cables to the doorknob."

(Kitten): "Chocolate pudding, chocolate cake, and apple pie."

(Kaitlin): "Nachos, ice cream, and cherry pie."

(Sally): "Steamed Maine Lobster. No dessert."

Day XXX, year YYY.

Three of the new students are snooping around too much...Wendy, Hank and Rod. And according to my research, at least one of them is a detective. That one, at least, will have to die.

Tomas raised an eyebrow at the fact that two of them ordered dessert, dessert, and more dessert, but didn't comment.
"Philly Cheesesteak. That's it for me." Tomas stated, noting that it literally was automated, as he looked around to see who else was there.

OOC: Wow.  ?? has TERRIBLE research skills.  ALL THREE are detectives.  Blade guessed their real names as soon as I told the fake names to him.  Can we save any unmaskings until at least this time next in-game day?  I want ALL my characters to be on-campus for the reveal.

"Right.  You go to the computer and get to work while I look for clues."

Hank looks at the doorknob.  "Definitely jumper cables.  And whatever was hooked to them definitely wasnt just a car battery.  Whatever it was had a LOT more juice.  You can see where it started to oxidize so quickly?  That's from the electrical current.  You still have the jumper cables?  Maybe we can get a print off them."  He goes to the air vent, and spots a fine residue on the cover--likely a residue from the poison gas.  He gets out his pocketknife, scrapes up some of the residue, then puts it in a ziploc.  "Maybe once I find the Chemistry lab I can analyze this."  He looks around the rest of the room.  "Where did the spiders appear?  And when the bomb was put in your pillow, did you disarm it or did you just throw it out the window?  Every bit of evidence helps."

Wendy walks up to the service droid and orders.  "Volcano burger, please," she said, ignoring the alarmed glances from the other students.

Rod looked around.  Hank and Joshua had disappeared.  "Huh, wonder where they went?  Anyway, Kitten, are these machines any good at making stuff from fast-food places?  Because I could go for some Taco Bell right now..."
