well I was in a car for 10 hours today, so sorry about not being on. Probably won't be able to go on until maybe monday afternoon, though it is my last day of summer. Tuesday afternoon/evening should be okay.

I am curious to see how your eternal reward plays in mvm. I don't know if the machines detect silent backstabs, if they don't it could be excellent

Well, wouldn't your disguise go down anyway? And therefore alert you to the horde of machines just waiting to turn around and fill your body with lead?

No, sappers are the way to go, despite me not playing as a spy yet. I barely use the spy in normal mode, I'm not ready for this yet. xD

YER's upside is that, upon backstab, you instantly disguise as the player you stabbed. No smoke clouds or anything; it's instant. The downside is that you can't manually disguise.

You can chainstab with it, allowing you to get multiple stabs without dropping disguise.

It's hard to do until you get used to playing Spy. You need to know how to work the cloak pretty well first.

You'd need to cloak, unclock, stab, cloak again, and get safely away before they started shooting at you. =P

if the robots don't react to silent backstabs, the spycicle may be great for mvm.

Doesn't the Spycicle get rid of your disguise, though?

ON THE DOWNSIDE:

TF2 just uninstalled itself apparently, or rather Steam seemingly won't recognize the installation. The files are still there; I haven't touched them. Yet despite that Steam claims it's uninstalled?

EDIT: I realized that I still have TF2 installed on OSX, so I checked for the AWP there. I have it!

in css awp is considered a noob weapon like the machina is in tf2 =P

I disagree that it's a noob weapon; even in high-level CS games it gets a lot of use.

I suppose that's because it's ridiculously OP. I mean, one hits on anything but the legs? Come on. Thank God they made it give out only $50 reward money in GO.

MvM is like the greatest thing. I might actually buy some tickets and go for Mann Mode. The lobby system is godawful, though. It needs some major fixing.

MvM is awesome, I definitely agree. =D I've found a good way to fix it, is to search for 6 player servers. That way, you bypass the matchmaking service, and can manually see what servers are full, and which aren't. =)

I just type "mvm" on the "map" field and look for servers with one or two connected.

Same, but I cut down on the search time by typing '6' in the max players field. =P
