 Found something about Mata Nui at Brickipedia.

Mata Nui is the Great Spirit that watches over Metru Nui and the Matoran Universe. He was put into a deep sleep by Makuta Teridax. In early 2006, it was revealed that he was not just asleep, but dying. The Toa Nuva awakened him in 2008, but Teridax had taken control of his body when Matoro sacrificed himself when putting on the Ignika Mask of Life; saving Mata Nui's life. He was trapped inside the Ignika and shot away from the Matoran Universe, which is ironic because Teridax, like all the other people in 2007, had been chasing for the Mask of Life. Mata Nui's physical body form had resided under the island of Mata Nui, named after him, until he was awakened. Mata Nui WILL appear as a set in the 2nd part of 2009. He will have yellow (possibly gold) and black armor, a shield, a Thornax Launcher and will be wearing the Mask of Life. At the end of '09, he will appear in a Warrior set.

Never heard of Brickipedia... check out BZPower or BS01 for accurate information, although since nothing is really known, you'll just have to wait. On the other hand, the last Bionicle book has been written, so basically Bionicle may just be sets that come out lacking a storyline(although hopefully GregF will make up a basic storyline or have online serials with plot for 2010 and on...).

@0PC0: We've already seen Mata Nui set form; canister and warrior. They're both yellow, although warrior may have gold pieces...

And as for Skopio... I can't wait for him. Pure awesomness, and if Bionicle ever ends I hope they come up with something like that to end with...

The toa height version of mata nui isn't that cool since his primary weapon of offense is a shield. the titan one is cool though

Titan Mata Nui is a huge version of his Glatorian self.

RP: Oh, it will have gold, it was pointed out a few times in the talkback for the original image. It's unsure right now, but it could have an actual Gold '08 style Ignika.

PC: It's Keetorange actually, since it's already out. Now the Titan on the other hand will have like 3 shades, Yellow, Gold, and Keetorange.

Is it actualy fact that titan will have gold? If it is then I will get Skopio and Mata Nui Titan minimum. It'll be kinda weird having Mata Nui with a mask instead of helmet. I like the 09 heads better than Metru, although both are good. I'm also liking the custom torso, which for some reason reminds me of Maxilos. MNT has 6 pistons! (yay!).

Haven't counted the pistons on Skopio yet, but its a lot...

Well, since parts of it are a darker colour than Keetorange and have a shininess to it, it's 99% possible. Not fully confirmed yet, as no-one has the set, but...

And it's a helmet because the '09 heads and helmets are epicly small.

Oh yes, about the story stuff, it'll more than likely be told only through the comics or such, and online and such, unless somehow they miraculously add books for next year. After all, the movie may boost sales, you never know...

It does. If the Titan had've used the Helmet, it would've looked even more awkward than it does now. Since people say it's too small now.

I didn't get Ignika, but I'll be getting a Mata Nui. Hopefully. And I really want Skopio, it looks... so good that I can't think of any words to describe it.

I think I hav saw the first 3. Not very interesting though.
