2001: N/A since I wasn't a fan (for all N/As)
2002: N/A
2003: Takanuva (confusing bike, recolored Gali Nuva clone)
2004: Vahki. Rehashes of the Rahkshi! (that would make a good comic name Tongue )
2005: Hordika, but the Visorak's excellency corrected this
2006: Umbra (you know what I mean)
2007: Hewkii Mahri. Just look at his  no-flow, bad colours and random spikes.
2008: Vultraz
2009: Can't really say, this year's sets are excellent
2010: Takanuva. No Gold and two irrevelant weapons, period yet his 08 set was so great. Guess that balances it.

I really do not agree with 2003 worst set. I thought Takanuva was decent...
2004 - I have a Vahki, and he wasn't that bad... I really do not think there's any awful set...
2005 - The Hordika were lackluster. The Visorak had a decent color scheme IMO.
2006 - The Piraka had really weird arms and joined spine/neck, but that's it.
2007 - Agreed. I have Hewkii Mahri, and he was horrible. Awful color scheme, weird arms (no hands O_o), and overused torso. At least his pieces are great for MOCs...
2008 - Has got to be Tahu Mistika. Reused torso, and very few new pieces. Also Kopaka Phantoka.
2009 - No horrid things I guess, only I do not like how the randomly put silver on Malum's claws...
Or maybe Toa Mata Nui.

=P

My list of this year's sets:

1.Stronius
2.Kiina
3.Ackar
4.Mata Nui
5.Vorox
6.Tarix (he's not that bad if you remove the pipes IMO)
7.Skrall
8.Gresh
9.Strakk
10.Malum
11.Gelu
12.Vastus (OK, he's the only one I don't know much about. That impacted his rating.)

The primary things I disagreed about in your list:
Gresh is waaaay to high. I have him, and he's laackluster.
Mata Nui shouldn't be number one just for being Mata Nui.
Skrall was too high on the list. My primary concern was that he ranked above Stronius.
Your opinions, not mine. Stronius is an inika build with few new pieces. Skrall is an innovatative use of the Inika Build with more new pieces and a good use of the new armour.

Just got my hands on Gelu and Vastus. The masks on those sets are excellent. I may try to get Mata Nui and/or Stronius, and possibly Ackar. Kiina being 43 pieces for 14.99$ CAD is too much for me, and I'm not in love with the set itself.

As for my rankings of the Glatorian:
1. Gelu (Good Colour scheme. Ice parts are great, and mask is the best I've seen in years)
2. Vastus (Snake theme puts him up high on the list. Lime and Dark Green go well together. Hordika legs=bad)
3. Strakk (Hunchback=great(customish torso and menacing feel added), good CS, axe and mask go well together)
4. Vorox (Tan. Unique design)
5. Stronius (Flows nicely altogether. Club is inventive)
6. Tarix (Gold. Blue. Mata Blue. )
7. Skrall (Torso deisgn, amount of weapons and new pieces is high)
8. Mata Nui (4 of those cool "shield" pieces. Colour scheme and leg to arm ratio brings him down a bit)
9. Gresh (Looks cool, but quite gappy. Legs are too thin compared to the size of his weapons)
10. Ackar (Excellent colour scheme. Reused mask and low new piece count pull him down hard. The odd coloured hands(which seem to be a trend in red sets) are also not very nice.
11. Malum (Nothing much to say. He just looks fat and somewhat unapealing)
12. Kiina (43 pieces. arm and leg design are identical. 43 pieces)

I only own Gresh, Tarix, Skrall, Strakk, Gelu and Vastus, so those are the only ones I can truly rate. I must say that all 12 canister sets this year are excellent though, and Kiina being #12 does not make her a bad set. She is the worst of the best, and may even bump up past Malum...

Kiina is great. Granted, she doesn't have a ton of pieces, but she's a nice break from the Inika Clone design. And Gelu is OK, but his blade is kinda dumb, because it can't really do anything. If the Blade wasn't so flimsy, it would be a Top 3 Canister set this year, IMO.

I got Berix, my only Agori this year. Good set all around. Reused design but he wears it well. Nice weapons, the tube is a bit annoying but able to be overlooked.

Well, the weapon IMO can be overlooked, as the overall design of it is great.

Berix would have to be my favourite agori too after watching TLR.

BTW, Renegade, where'd you get that movie-picutre of Vastus?

Yeah. Coincidentally, I got all of the TLR team except Mata Nui. Go figure Tongue

I want to see a Mara Magna Robot set and a Mata Nui Robot set. I would also like Movie 5 to feature a giant Bionicle Robot fight =D =D =D

I was daydreaming, and I thought of how Berix could come up with improvements for the BM Robot. Like, he could make these tanks that can attack and detach from the back of the Robot's hands. And several Agori/Glatorian could fit in and pilot the thing, and it would fire Thornax. It would even be cool if there was a BM Robot set and there were several vehicles that were seperate that could soup up the Robot.

Just me dreaming, but still...

Tarduk and Metus are still the best IMO.

And I got the pic from AMEET's site(I think). BZP linked to it and I searched around for a Vastus pic, then took parts out in Paint.

Meh. Tarduk doesn't appeal to me much, he's an innovative use of the Avtoran/Agori build, but no weapons and all of his limbs being (at least, I think) identical kinda makes him fall on my list. Metus looks pretty cool though. Uses the Village's shield, not something you see much other than in the movie. I was impressed by Ackar's collection of shields =D

Tarduk doesn't have Identical Limbs, Berix is favourite agori story wise, Tarduk set wise. And His weapons Are his claws.

Which set(s) should I get next:

-Mata Nui
-Ackar
-Stronius
-Cendox

I want to get Stronius, but I have no red set this year (unless you count Skopio) and no yellow/tan set this year(again, unless you count Telluris). Cendox would be a nice addition, and give me an agori to add to my collection.

Tough one, because they're all good sets.

It depends:

If you want another vehicle, go for Cendox. if you want a Canister, go for Stronius.

I'd have to agree with KZ. Stronius may not be the greatest set, but he has a good color scheme and AWESOME club.

You know, I haven't gotten any vehicles...ever. Unless you count Toa Ignika.

Ignika counts.

The Stars apparently are the only BIONICLE January sets and that Ben 10 (GRRHATEHATEHATEGRRR) is replacing BIONCLE's canisters.

Which is weird since the starts have 19-21 pieces and cost less, but they have 18-20 piecves and cost more.

You can easily see which one is more worth it. BIONICLE.

D=< WHAT? That's. Just. Wrong. They're like 10-20 dollars more, yet they're replacing them? >_< Fail decision is fail... Well, 'least I know that I'll be able to get the Stars if I can get any sets next year...

And another reason why that decision is fail; no green set for the 'replacement' >_< Lego never should have done that at all. And what'll we have for a story next year? This seems way messed up if this is true...
