I think that's a repeat. I love his torso. Really innovative dsign for the shoulder armor there.
His design fits his personality, IMO. Those legs look fast... they've got the sleek calws... and those arms look strong- He's fast and He's surprisingly strong, that's what his Bio says.
Strakk is more innovative. But Gresh is amazing (as has been said since back in 08 Tongue ). Gresh needs more armour though. His legs seem too small for his body and arms...

Vastus looks really cool, and I think he better incorperates the jungle theme, even if Gresh is amazing.
I don't know what it is, but even though he's green, Vastus isn't really as wanted for me... Maybe it's just the lack of armour on his chest and so, or the fact that his spear is just mostly parts we've seen before... I dunno. We'll see when it gets closer, but it just didn't give off a "GET ME!" vibe like Gresh. =/
We've seen the scythe before? The mask looks great, and the arm armour ( and the upper arms themselves) are new. The legs need retouching. Seem common between Gresh and Vastus Tongue

well, i think innovative can be really stupid aometimes....

i think skrall's torso looks stupid, and so does the blue summer gladitoran's
Agreed on Skrall's torso. And everyone knows my feelings towards Kiina(blue canister in summer...)

No, we haven't seen that part before, but... I dunno. Maybe more pics will make me like it more.

And let's just wait until people get them until we actually fully judge the sets. Look at the Mistika, which a lot of people who said they disliked then liked.

Mata Nui for me, though others rank high too. The only one I don't really like right now is Vastus.

The one I don't like out of all of the Glatorian Legends is Kiina. But... VERY LIGHT BLUE LIMB PIECES!
Mata Nui and Vastus= First I get, then Cendox, then the rest.

Uh, Kiina is my least fav set, then Baranus or Mata Nui. Ackar is okay, but not many new pieces. Thornatus costs too much, although its looks like a good set. Stronius, Vastus and Gelu are my favourite canister sets, with Gelu leading. Skopio will be the first set I get, along with either Cendox  or two canister sets.

Vastus needs work on the legs. I really do not like the Hordika legs... Gelu is great, although the way he was posed at Toyfair(mainly his weapon arm) was not good. Stronius is cool looking, although again, Toyfair psoe was bad so it may change. Mata Nui is just... I dunno, I had higher expectations and I don't like the keetorange mask or the fact that his legs are really short and his arms are long... Kiina just has a bad torso, especially with the ball joint left open at the bottom. I like that the designers tried for a custom torso, but it did not go over well IMO...

Oh, you noticed the short legs too eh? I thought it was just my imagination. I wonder what the set designers were thinking when they decided to reverse proportions for Mata Nui? >_> And his Keetorange mask actually doesn't blend into his black torso, what angle you viewing it at? And you can't have high expectations for canister sets, haven't we had that proved LAST year with the Nuva? It's not gonna be pure awesomeness just because it's a huge character all the time... It's like trying to compare Glatorian Arena to a console game Wink

^True, very true, Blade.

If I was a great spirit that was just exiled fom his own Universe, I wouldn't be worried about my proportions. I'd be more worried about my own universe.

Actually the only sets I truly disliked last year were Pohatu Phantoka and Krika... And the mask blends in with the Onua Chest plate, which is another thing I don't like. The chest piece does not look good on the Inika bodies when its a different colour completely. It looks small and wierd.

I'm talking about everyone else who were disappointed, but you know what? If they were labeled something other than the Toa Nuva, everyone would've probably liked it more. They were just disappointed because they had uber huge expectations, and that's exactly what's happening with Mata Nui =/ And if the Onua Chest Plate was black, there'd probably be too much Black visible =/ And they can't use gold because it's expensive according to the Set Designers...

Okay, he's a pretty good set overall, just some minor flaws that I would change. He's kinda like Vastus: I like Vastus, you don't, and vice versa for Mata Nui. And you're right about the Nuva point. Silver and Bleh were overused last year, but some sets, like Tahu and Kopaka, were still great sets.
Overall, I think Mata Nui needs more silver, or less keetorange. A silver mask would've been cool, if he had more silver armour(ie. switch his silver weapon with the armour.) They should also switch his arms and legs.

Switching his arms and his legs?
I think that arm armor would really restrict his posability if it were to be on his legs.

I was thinking more that they should switch his legs and arms, not the armour on them. His upper arms have three holes in them, while his upper legs have only one hole, making him an easy target for BZPers who want sets to have good proportions...

And RotGB was good, although I'm dissapointed that the agori who decided not to go decided not to go... I like that one...

True on the Vastus/Mata Nui point =P And the Silver mask probably didn't happen just because we already had a silver Ignika last year.
