The Chaos Guardian launches a sand blast at the trio.  Instinctively, Aki whirls his whip and shortsword in front of them like a propeller.  Some sand still gets through, but enough of the blast is blocked so that they only get a couple of minor scratches.

OOC: Chaos Guardian's mine. =P

-==IC: Shiro==-

Shiro disappeared, and the Chaos Guardian smirked, as he whirled backwards, and blocked Shiro's attack easily. The Chaos Guardian then whipped his foot out at Shiro, and sent the Chosen One flying through one of the buildings.
"More people who think they can beat me? How foolish." The Chaos Guardian said with a confident smirk, as he walked toward the buildings that the trio had passed on their way.

OOC: That'd be the arts buildings.  that means you're right next to the top of the stairs.  Careful, these steps are REALLY long, and they zig-zag back and forth.  They're treacherous!  EDIT: Also, we're in the lower-left quarter of the map, near the center, and we're heading North-East along the Great Stair.

IC:  Aki starts to charge at the Chaos Guardian, but at the last second he uses his Ki Whip to grab a light post.  He swings around, using the extra momentum and leverage to swing his whip-sword combo around the Guardian's back.

OOC: That's the way back to the Theatre? Alright then, that's the way I wanted to go to I think. =P

The Chaos Guardian ducked, and smirked, as he attempted to jab his elbow at Aki as he neared the Chaos Guardian. The Chaos Guardian then whirled around and blocked the would-be blow with his own sword, and then backflipped down the stairs with an arrogant smirk.

OOC: Also, SHIRA posts? =P

IC: Marik fired a blast of ki'd green fire at the hunter......

OOC: No, we were in the Parking Lot 6 West, and we headed back past the Theatre towards the stairs.  If you look on the map (make sure it's at 75% magnification or higher, otherwise you won't be able to see anything), you'll see a zig-zagging gray line heading towards the yellow line labeled "mall".  That's the way we're heading; down the Great Stair.

Aki took a step back and nearly fell; he looked back and saw he was at the top of a HUGE, tree-lined staircase leading down the hill.  He lashed out awkwardly at the Chaos Guardian with his Ki Whip, trying to get him to step back.

OOC: MTM, did you take a look at the map I PM'd you?  If need me, I can take a screenie and post it as an image.

OOC: Okay, that's where I was meaning to head anyway. =P Just make sure we're heading the right way. =P ... And wait. You referenced a Freeway. Like... The Matrix freeway?! =O That would automatically make this awesome; and we're definitely gonna have to somehow find some kinda gun type for that. Whether it be lasers, normal guns, or some other thing, we need that. ... Mind is active. Thinking up ideas for fight. Fight will be epically awesome.

The Chaos Guardian simply smirked, as he stepped to the side, and slashed out at the whip, aiming to knock it off course.

OOC: MTM: Truth's RPG. His second one. =P

OOC: Alright. Also, this fight likely won't be finished tonight, but it's gonna be awesome, I know that... I also predict half the fight will be fought on the Freeway. And that tons of Hunters will be spoofing the Agents as they continue to appear and attack us, all while fending off the Chaos Guardians... This'll be so epic. =D

And the moral of this story is; never mention the word 'freeway' in DoaH, unless you want Blade to go and include Matrix references. =P

OOC: OK, here's the map.  The red X is where we are, the blue line shows where we need to go.  The only difference is, instead of going straight to Victory through the parking lot, we detour to the Science building for weapons.  And the specific freeway is the 101...which will take us to the 405...straight through another major construction zone.  I think we might end up at Disneyland before this is all over. 



IC:

Unfortunately for him, he slashed the Ki Whip, which means it grabbed the weapon.  He was dragged towards Aki for a second before letting go.  The weapon shoots toward Aki, piercing completely through his thigh.  The force of the impact throws him back, and the blade plunges into the trunk of a tree, pinning Aki to it.  He howls in agony as his body weight forces him to pivot to an upside-down position, essentially twisting the blade in the wound.

OOC: Ya think? =P

Something that needs to happen, though? Explosions. Lots, and lots, of explosions.

And I think I've got the idea now. =P

-==IC: Chaos Guardian==-

The Chaos Guardian smirked again, and backflipped onto a more stable section of the stairs again, as Shiro ran up, having only just gotten back to the others after the kick from the Chaos Guardian. Shiro frowned, and shook his head for a second, as he ran up to Aki, yanked out the sword, and tossed it away before he healed the Chosen One for the second time that hour.

OOC: Oh, there'll be explosions.  You know they have the gas lines exposed for the construction, right?  Not all of it...but MORE than enough for us.  Plus, if Aki gets a hold of his gravity powers, he'll be throwing chinks of pavement at cars...

IC: Aki moans in relief, then tries again to regain his composure.  He uses his Ki Whip to snap a branch off the tree and hurtle it toward the Chaos Guardian.

OOC: And not just gas lines for construction... For cars too. >=D

The Chaos Guardian side-stepped the branch, and sent a blast of sand seemingly at Aki for attacking purposes, but actually had a side-effect in mind for that.

OOC: By the way, the Chaos Guardian's at the first stair interval. =P

/EDIT: Gotta continue tomorrow; don't own the Guardian... he can take more than you might imagine. =P

Aki whirled his whip-sword like he had before, mostly dispersing the attack.

OOC: Yeah; M'Raize killed a Chaos Guardian just now. =P With a borrowed sword. And without even using his Ki powers. =P

Sakeo nodded.
"Come on; let's find out where Kaze is."

OOC: If I were you, once we find Kaze, I'd run away. Fast. =P

"There's more, though." Kali continued, and Kaze looked at her curiously.
"When you arrived to rescue me, I never recognized you; which gives credit to what you said. However, once I did, and when I also realized you were a Chosen One, I had initially thought you were bad... Up until the Chaos Hunters started attacking me, as well." Kali said, and Kaze chuckled.
"Yeah; I remember that." Kaze said, and even Kali chuckled.
"Sorry about that, by the way. Anyway, it was fine after that, I realized that once again I gave you a wrong first impression, and we escaped. However, since then, I had been thinking about that jeep, and how familiar it had seemed." Kali said, and Kaze raised an eyebrow.
"Familiar?" Kaze asked, and Kali nodded.
"Today I realized why. Two years ago, in the summer time, the Chaos Hunters attacked a Chosen One's house, the exact details were never known except to those in the loop. They took a vehicle to help escape... A jeep." Kali said, and Kaze froze, dreading what she would say next.
"That was my father's jeep. The Chaos Hunters inquired about the jeep, and were certain my parents were helping the Chosen Ones. They had seemed concerned for some reason even before the Chaos Hunters arrived. However, after the Chaos Hunters talked to them, they were captured, as they were certain that they were right... And I realized that the jeep that was used was the one that you helped rescue me in." Kali said as tears started to appear in her eyes from the memory. Kaze stared at her, as he suddenly realized that it was Kali he had seen.
"I see you realize the scope of it... That's why I was so upset with you this morning; as I had taken a glance at the jeep, and noticed some of the people... You and some of the other Chosen Ones from here." Kali said with a nod.

OOC: The timing on this is perfect; next post everything more or less merges. =P

OOC: Hey, you said that the Chaos Guardian death was okay. =P What exactly is happening with Kaze and Kali at the moment?

 "Yes, let's." He felt on a more even ground with Sakeo now. He felt more as an acquaintence now. And yet, something still seemed wrong.

OOC: Yeah, I plan to kill off my other char with M'raize. It'll be epic. =D

Skye started flinging sand from lower steps to the force field, clogging it up.

As the sand stuck to the forcefield, it flickered, and then expanded outward into a pyramid shape, partially intending to knock Skye away from the steps that she was standing on.

OOC: Sand... on a triangular prism... Equals a sand pyramid. =P

Marik: I did not understand half the first part of that IC. =P

-==IC: Chaos Guardian==-

The Chaos Guardian quickly dodged the blades of Ki, as the sand fell to the ground... Right where the Chaos Guardian's sword was. The Guardian smirked, as the the sand grabbed the sword, and the Guardian essentially used his control over Sand as a magnet, to grab his sword back, as he side jumped down to the second stair interval.

Sakeo nodded, as they neared the hallway that led to the training room where Kaze was.

OOC: As for what's happening with Kaze and Kali, read the posts. =P Basically an explanation of some backstory; but... Also an interesting accidentally awkward moment. =P

Kaze then looked at Kali, a frown on his face, as he shook his head.
"I'm so sorry..." Kaze said, as Kali chuckled weakly, but nodded.
"Yeah... And that 'Chaos Guardian' was the one who captured them." Kali said, as Kaze put his arms around her to comfort her for the moment.
"... We'll find them. Your parents and Sonia." Kaze said, as Sakeo passed by the room, and looked in. Sakeo froze at the scene, and growled under his breath, and walked away, even more upset at Kaze. After that, Kali stepped away awkwardly, and Kaze then walked over to the training dummy, and frowned.
"Sonia..." Kaze said, and slashed out at the dummy again, as Kali frowned and watched him.
"You liked her, didn't you?" Kali asked, and Kaze looked at her as if she was crazy.
"She's been my best friend for 8 years now; of course I like her." Kaze growled, and Kali stepped back, and blinked.
"Just... Don't do anything stupid to try and find her." Kali said, and Kaze glared at her, which surprised her.
"Whatever. I'll find her, and that's that." Kaze said, and turned back to the training dummy, as he slashed out at it again. Kali paused and then left the room, and frowned again.
He's starting to obsess over getting her back too much... But I don't care. If he's distancing himself from everyone else; that's not my problem. Kali thought to herself, as Kazuki frowned, and watched her walk down the other hallway from where he stood.
"Oh dear; this doesn't seem good." Kazuki muttered, as he wondered just what would happen now...

OOC: Basically set-up; and lead in to the transition part between Chapter 3 and 4... But set up for what? Recall what I was saying before the Chaos Guardian battle ended. =P
