OOC: I kind of lost Aki's thread around the time Jade dropped out.

OOC: Well, if you want to join in, we have a mission that Aki is perfect for... And it's you-know-what time, so he's really needed for this, if you get my drift.

"Ah, I see." Kai said with a nod.
"I believe I've heard of them." Kai said, and looked at the others with a nod.
"Everyone else ready?" Kai asked, though he did have to wonder if Aki would make a good addition to the group, because of his control over gravity.

OOC: I'm still catching up, and I don't feel like going through the entire archives again, so bear with me if I mess some stuff up.

-==IC: InAki==-
InAki stood atop the headquarters in Terakou, silently standing vigil over the city.  Hikari's death had sent ripples through the universe, as if all of reality had suddenly shifted.  Aki had fallen sharply silent, and had not spoken even within his mind for the past two months.  This would normally have been something of a relief, but InAki found that, without his true self's constant pressuring to issue forth, he had no motivation, no will to act.

Aki was not the only one not speaking to him.  Skye was avoiding InAki for some reason as well, something that no doubt did not encourage Aki to come out.  In fact, many of the people of Terakou had ceased contact with InAki, and with each other.  It was as if Hikari had been their true self, and without him the team could not function.

But now InAki knew that could not be the case.  Marik's return had marked a turning point, InAki had felt the shift in reality.  It was subtle, no doubt, but he somehow sensed the time for him to reconnect with the others had come.

InAki activated his armor, a refined form that looked and felt heavier than before, and stepped backwards over the edge of the building.  Barely adjusting his position enough to land right-side-up, he hit the ground in front of Marik and Kai with a tremendous thud.  He deactivates the armor again.

"I'm coming with you."

OOC: InAki's been standing on that roof without shelter for the past two months straight, even training up there.  He's barely eaten, and he literally hasn't spoken since then, either.  He does not look--or sound--his best right now.

Also, nice job working in the effective dual time skip. =P

Kai raised an eyebrow at the awesome entrance Aki made.
"Nice job." Kai said, as he applauded Aki, and turned his head, noting that the grey haired Chosen One, Shiro, was present as well.
"Hopefully this helps with your requirements, Marik." Kai said, as he began to walk toward the door.
"Let's go."

The other Chosen Ones can feel their weight fluctuating in time with InAki's steps.  He's clearly been focusing on his gravity powers, to the point where it's constantly active to some degree.  InAki himself seems unaware of the mild discomfort, but after a while you notice the effect lessen somewhat.

OOC: Timeskip?  Also, MTM, bug Jade to come back to the RPG.

"You've been practicing, I see." Kai noted, feeling the pressure of the gravity at that moment, even as they headed toward the desert, where the once-cloaked airship was located.

"Nice to have you on the team" I think Marik said, and they headed off.

OOC: AFAIK last time I saw Aki/InAki, i was trying to be thrown in a black hole

and i'm fine with a timeskip.

OOC: Last time Aki was around that didn't have a whole lotta nothing happening, Sakeo nearly got black hole'd, so you shouldn't feel that bad. =P

Kai smirked slightly at the slight tone that Marik had, as he recalled the rather large fight that had occurred.
"Hey, at least there's not as large a chance of things going horribly wrong." Kai said with a shrug.

"Nice to have you on the team" I think Marik said, and they headed off.

OOC: AFAIK last time I saw Aki/InAki, i was trying to be thrown in a black hole

and i'm fine with a timeskip.

OOC: Yeah, and then it stopped because Skye showed up and put Aki into permafunk.

I assume everyone knows about InAki being the Inner Ki being, right?  I seem to recall saying it was explained offscreen during the timeskip just before the meeting.

And oh gosh I just realized how awkward it will be if InAki and Kai have to team up, they'll be screwing up each others' powers something fierce.

"Why's that?" Kai asked Marik, curious, even as he gave InAki an odd look, but shrugged, as he got into the old jeep.

OOC: Oh, likely. xD And yes, that was explained, but onscreen. I believe InAki told Skye and Sakeo? If not, it can be offscreen, yes. =P

/EDIT: Ninjas everywhere. =P Kai's taking the old jeep that Kaze once took from Kali's family. =P

"Simple and clean doesn't always work. It'd be a good plan, but we don't know what Chaos Guardian is present." Kai said, as they arrived at the spot. Sand. Sand everywhere. There was nothing around but sand. Kai looked up, and chuckled.
"Ah, there it is. In the middle of the sky! Anyone have any bright ideas of how to get up there?" Kai muttered, slightly annoyed at this revelation.

Kai was about to say something, but then frowned, as he noticed a glimmer, like a heatwave, in a certain section of the desert.
"Cover your eyes, everyone." Kai instructed, as he held his hands in front of him, and unleashed a blinding blast of light... When it was finished, a spiraling staircase was revealed. Sakeo raised an eyebrow at that.
"Huh, a staircase to the sky... A staircase to heaven? Well, I must say, the Hunters have good taste in music, if not morals or goals." Sakeo said, which caused Kai to groan and slap his palm to his face.

OOC: Yes, I did that. xD This is one reason I consider this chapter awesome. The rest will have to wait for later. >=D

Randomly, a pair of mutant tomatoes flys out of nowhere to splat in Kai and Sakeo's faces.  InAki shrugs.  "Wasn't me..."

OOC: These.

He turns his attention to the blimp and focuses, but nothing happens.  Frowning, he turns up the juice, but it's still no good.  A wave of gravity flattens the Chosen Ones, and then gravity is suddenly erased as InAki starts to shift and channel the planet's own gravity into his effort, but still the blimp seems unaffected.  InAki abruptly cuts off the Ki flow, dropping everyone back to the ground.  "Some kind of Ki inhibitor field.  I can't affect it from this distance.  He frowns, then erases his own gravity, using small pulses of pure Ki from his palms and feet to guide his flight.  "Can still fly, but--"  As InAki crosses a certain point where the barrier was, his control over gravity suddenly slips.  He bounces off the staircase, away from the Chosen Ones, and his control resumes.  "Well, that was...strange."  He sets down on the staircase to regain his sense of balance.  "Tread cautiously, that was...quite the experience."

"well then. i guess we're walking." Marik hopped out and started walking up the stairs.
