"Let's go." Kai said, as he began to run up the stairs quickly.

Marik was working very hard to keep his cool. They were still not at the top yet. "Screw this" he muttered and held out his hand and a column of air started shimmering with heat. The rest of the party could feel the intense heat flowing off the column. Sakeo's hair caught fire. Marik jumped into the column, and floated upwards, shouting down "heat rises!"

Kai sighed, even as Sakeo tried frantically to put out the fire, before Dawn simply doused him with water.
"Someone never mentioned that it's only a few minutes more to the top, I guess." Kai said with a shrug, as he continued to run up.

"oh hi" Marik said as the rest of the team reached the top. they looked utterly exhausted.

InAki simply resumed his previous mode of flight and continued up.  Suddenly, all of the Chosen Ones feel a slight pull of gravity near the desert floor, and InAki freefalls nearly to the bottom, before slingshotting around a point of strong gravity and launching himself to the top of the staircase.

Showoff, Aki though within his mind.  Startled by the sudden thought, InAki teeters on the edge of the staircase, about to fall off...

"No need... To sound... So smug..." Sakeo panted, as Kai shook his head, and rolled his eyes.
"You guys wasted your energy." Kai pointed out with a shrug, as he walked toward the entrance to the blimp. Meanwhile, Dawn grabbed Aki's hand, in order to stop him from falling off, slight confusion on her face, as she wasn't sure why he nearly lost his balance.
"You okay?" She asked, a frown on her face.

"Yeah... Just let... Me catch my breath..." Sakeo gasped, as he tried to catch his breath. Kai simply shrugged.
"I just teleported up a little ways, and waited for them to catch up." Kai said with a smug smirk.

Marik held up his hand and clenched it into his fist. a gust of cool air blew over Dawn, almost pushed Sakeo off the ledge, whirled around aki, and completely avoided Kai. "better?"

OOC: Erm. Sonia's currently not with the party, I believe the name you're looking for is 'Dawn'. =P Easy mistake to make, though, neither have been used much outside of the initial chapters. xD

Sakeo stumbled back a bit, and barely saved himself from falling off the stairs.
"Y-yeah, thanks for that." Sakeo said, as he looked at Marik, slightly perturbed. Kai, however, looked at Marik curiously.
"Where'd you get that ability?" Kai asked, as that wasn't typical.

"Impressive."  Turning to Dawn, he whispers, "Heard him again.  First time it's happened since...you know."  He sighs and faces the others.  "The Universe has apparently gone completely mad.  Nothing's worked quite right for a while now."  He looks at the others.  "I have a sickening feeling that one of you is going to die here.  Let's make sure I'm wrong, shall we?"  InAki turns and marches toward the nearest door into the airship.

Kai frowned, as that was something odd.
I wonder if it has anything to do with Kaze's death... Wouldn't surprise me, that reckless idiot shouldn't have done what he did. Kai thought, and sighed.
"Do what he says; be cautious. But let's try and figure out what's going on here." Kai said, and nodded to Marik.
"That makes sense. Never considered that, but I don't really pay attention to Kali's training, so I probably wouldn't have considered it anyway." Kai shrugged, as he moved forward.

Kali snapped her eyes open with a frown.
That's the last time I try to calm myself down with sleep... Especially during the day. Kali thought, as she wondered what that dream was all about; it was pure darkness, and the only thing that really happened was that voice, but it seemed odd to her, and she couldn't figure out what that was all about. Kali sighed, as she stood up, and walked out of her room, wondering again why she had been held back from the mission.

"let's just go, quietly" marik said, and motioned to the team to move out, using military hand gestures

Kai nodded, and drew his sword quickly, as he moved into the door, and quickly looked around, to see if there were any enemies present.
Why did they leave those stairs so unguarded? These past two months have just been filled with questions, haven't they... Kai thought with a frown, as he moved forward, and looked around quickly, wondering what could be done.

Marik pulled out one of his swords, a large two-handed katana, and motioned to a lower deck. A group of Chaos Hunters was beneath them, playing poker.

Kai nodded, and jumped down, as he stabbed one of them in the head on the way down, and blinded the other, as he stabbed out with his hand, activating an energy blade around his hand to cut through the Hunter's armour... With luck, the others would be handled by the rest of the party.

InAki shrugs and collapses the poker table and its occupants into a miniature black hole.  Seeing the others stare, he adds, "No sense in noisy fights for just those few, we can save that for when we get further inside.  Right now, stealth is our friend.  Speaking of which, Kai, would you mind absorbing all the outgoing light in a 10-foot bubble around us?"

Kai nodded, as Sakeo sent two Ki-summoned Kunai into the heads of the other two at the table. Kai then absorbed the light as best as he could, but frowned, as it removed visibility.
"What about cloaking, like with the stairs, in reverse?" Kai asked, as that would work better.

Kali frowned for a moment, as she noticed someone that she had seen around the base a few times before, who watched her as she walked past.
That guy gives me the creeps... Kali thought, as she just kept walking, the creepy guy smiling oddly as she passed. The creepy guy then turned away, as he looked down the hall, and stood up, as he walked forward.
