So...? It's supposed to resemble Takanuva, who doesn't have any gold on him, and rarely any Black. Here's a pic:



That's from the Lego site, rehosted on my Brickshelf. The Mask and armour that looks black is actually gunmetal grey, the only Black I can see that IS black in that pic is the Midak SkyBlaster on his right(Left from our viewing) arm. It's the thing that's shooting spheres.
