It's beginning to feel a bit like Christmas to me, so I thought I'd share some thoughts wand wishes with you all. Christmas is a hard time for me many years, because my dad died on December 15th 1988. So there is always some sadness mixed in with the joy of the season. I find that it is brighter when I focus on sharing with and caring for others.

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree:  the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.  ~Burton Hillis

Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.  ~Author unknown, attributed to a 7-year-old named Bobby

Christmas is not as much about opening our presents as opening our hearts.  ~Janice Maeditere

May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace,
The gladness of Christmas give you hope,
The warmth of Christmas grant you love.
May Peace be your gift at Christmas and your blessing all year through!

And may you share this
Happily
With family, friends, and
Loved ones

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Holiday Blessings to all!

Although " Silver Bells" brings me back to my childhood in NY, "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"  and "Oh Come all Ye Faithful" are  two of my favorite Christmas songs.

This time of year is a special time of giving for me.. to the community, to children in need, to my church, to friends, and to family.

What are some of your family's holiday traditions??
What songs do you like ??
What do you look forward to most this time of year??

Personally I like "the Christmas Song."
This year...I look forward to having the first Christmas in America in many years.

I had a pretty nice Christmas.

Over the past few months I've been helping my sisters (and dad, who's terrible at present-giving) get presents for everyone. I also did most of the wrapping. It was really nice to see how happy the presents made everyone.

Highlights included:
-my beautiful tablet heart
-my youngest sister's cece Barbie
-my other sister's HTTYD toothless and iPod touch
-my dad's TNG redshirt tshirt.
-my parents new bigscreen
