 Dear Friends, It is not a happy Friday for me. Earlier this morning, my dear friend for life made his way through two gates, down our sleepy side street to the main road, and was hit by a car. he suffered a crushed pelvis, fractured leg, and a severe spinal injury. He is with God now, and I am all alone. His name was Jazz E. Bear, (E for Einstein) and he was the best dog that ever was. He knew how to hug, bringing his whole shoulder close and wrapping you in his body, and he never ever chewed a shoe. He has been my constant companion since I rescued him in 2004. I will miss him more than I can say.  |

How awful. Dogs are such beautiful, innocent companions and will be sorely missed when their lives come to an end. Jazz E. Bear undoubtedly had a wonderful life with you and is probably smiling down at his old friend right now. *hugs* from me, too.  |
