"Android. Pah. The Android AI put in charge of Mars is the most advanced life form we know of. I'd rather not discuss it right now, if you get me started I likely won't stop.'

After a moment's pause, Matt continued. "Traditional computers are binary. 1s and 0s. On and off. Yes and no. And nothing in between. To make a true intelligence, it needs to be able to think in shades of gray. The most basic quantum computers operate with three: on, off, and a halfway state. Depending who you ask, its both on an off at the same time, or halfway in between on and off. Its kinda hard to explain. An advanced quantum computer can see nearly infinite 'shades of gray'. That's what makes the ability for true thought, for self awareness. All the human brain is, is a chemical-based quantum computer. All we needed to figure out was the 'coding language' the human brain was 'coded' in, how certain molecules and cells store data and how to convert it into a more usable form. Once that was done, true cyborgs were easy. "

"But that doesn't explain sentient robots" Virnuk pointed out.

"True, true. But they depend on each other. See, we were never able to make a true sentient computer. A very intelligent one, yes, but never sentient. We were missing something. So, one day, I had an idea. Take the parts of code we're missing from the one functional, sentient, quantum computer we DO have." Matt tapped his forehead with a finger. "Three lines of my own source code was all it took. The computer answered me with its own words. Then it thanked me."

I've got no place to go, I've got nowhere to run.
They love to watch me fall, they think they know it all.
I'm a nightmare, a disaster, that's what they always said.
I'm a lost cause, not a hero, but I'll make it on my own.
I've gotta prove them wrong - It's me against the world.

It is, in the end, whatever the **** I want it to be.
And when I'm through with it, it's gonna blow a hole this wide
straight through the worlds own idea of itself.
...
Come on, lets go break their arms.
